[City Labyrinth] Rennes, France help needed Hey there !
Now that my wedding is behind me, i'm trying to complete my omphalabyrinth in Rennes.
I've got the city approved by Eli and I already received the trackstick. But my design has been rejected (because of its amazing ugliness)
As a backup I did a small 3-circuit design but i really would like to run a bigger one.
As i'm running out of time (and brain) and i really would like to do the run this week, could you help me design a great omphalabyrinth for Rennes ?

OK - I know it's not perfect yet (and I am not sure about some bits - e.g. whether it's really possible to enter the park exactly where I have sketched it - but nevertheless: Here's my proposal. I couldn't come up with more than 5 circuits, however - you really DO have a problem with that river ...
(If there is a wall or fence around the parc in those places, you'd need two persons - to throw the trackstick over the wall in those places ... )

Thanks a lot for your proposal Canzonett (i hope it won't be too big for me to achieve it alone)
Not sure it will please Eli (he really loves symmetry).
Maybe something a little smaller ?

Easy - adapt it, shorten it, if you want to (it's just a proposal, feel free to adapt it if necessary) - or simply ask Eli whether it would be ok.
Here's the shortened URL for it (easier to post in mails):

Right-ho. I've added a "small" option to the map as well now (blue line). What do you think?

Seems really nice. I did some research and the park part should be doable the way you designed it.
I'm going to submit it to Eli to see if he agrees (hope so, that way i could do it tomorrow !)

Mail from Eli :
Quote:
Hello Khaos,
This seems almost right, but the center path goes immediately to the
outermost circuit. This doesn't protect the center well at all -- very
unusual labyrinth design. Better to adopt a traditional approach to
ensure omph strenght. The center path should loop around the center
before looping around the outside. Does that help?
Sincerely yours,
Eli Hunt
So rejected... again !
Back to the drawing board i made some small change to Canzonett design.
Hope it will be good because i want to run it on Saturday !

Rennes is hard! I looked at it and drew a few lines, but then I got distracted by noticing an Allée Pierre de Coubertin on the map.

If i don't get news from Eli in 3-4 hours max, i'll have no choice but to postpone my run to a far far futur date. If you see him, smash his smart ass for me

Aw Khaos, relax it's not like the deadline is tomorrow. Rennes will have a great design to run through, you'll see !
And if we kick Eli's lower areas, all the girls will want to kill us dead. He is, after all, the ladies' man.

It's just that this week-end was the last free one i've got for now. My agenda is pretty full these days.
But, hell, if i have to postpone, i'll find a way.

Why not just run it whether you hear from him or not? If the design is good after all, you've accomplished an omph knot. If not, you can try a different one on your later date.

Sounds like a good idea
