Here is a copy of the email:

A letter was delivered to our offices today. It has been digitized and placed a href= "http://experiencethenode.com/89942">here</a> for you to access. We believe that this may be connected to Richard although we do not yet know its significance.
For this mission, determine what Richard is trying to communicate to us. There is also a a href= "http://forum.experiencethenode.com/viewforum.php?f=10">topic on the forums</a> to allow you to discuss this new finding.
Good luck, we are counting on you.

By looking at the email, it sure doesn't look like an "official" email to me with all of the <p>'s. Also, it was from apache and there was no subject.

Speculation: I am thinking this was not supposed to go out like in Mission 2 and since we have solved half of the mission already without it even officially starting, they are holding off to figure out rectify the situation and make the mission longer.

This was not a "Mission 4" email, which I am expecting here shortly. By the nature of the email, it seems like a definite "whoops" to me. No one else received it?

So far only you and TheIllustratedMan have said they rec'd emails. And both of you rec'd it twice, correct? I don't know. It sounds like an OOG "whoops". With the forum server down for 5-6 hours yesterday and this business with the emails, I think there was some snafu. I'm new to ARGs so I don't know if this kind of thing is commonplace. If so, how does it fit into the game mechanics?

Just for the record I also received the email twice.

It being from apache generally means that they used PHP to send the message.

Did anyone get a Mission 4 completed email yet?

Btw I sent Rick a facebook message asking if he was an Orwell fan and he added 1984-George Orwell to his profile.

That can't be all of Mission 4... we haven't done anything with the punchcard yet.

I don't think we can solve the punchcard until we have something more from the Orginization. God only knows when that will be. Rolling Eyes

I want to defend this game, since I'm one of only a handful who are playing it (compared to The Lost Ring or The Dark Knight) and I like being part of a niche - but the absolute sparsity of content coming from it is getting a bit concerning.

I hear ya... it is hard to keep people's attention when the gaps between missions are so considerable. I think this had and might still have a lot of potential if the story was a little more elaborated and the missions were more frequent. With that said, I have enjoyed it and hopefully this isn't coming to an end.

I with you too. This was one of the first ARGs I started from the beginning and actively participated in. I also really like the 1984 twist. I still search for more content nearly every day. I don't want this to just go away.
