Good morning Canzonett!

Great to have you on this too - we were gutted that he passed on the recording while all the Europeans were fast asleep!

We've been discussing it in the irc channel if you're able to drop in... Very Happy

What about the "decoy" part ?

Should we cut the interesting bits and record the message again on the phone or should we do some major mp3 editing and CHANGE part of it (with words swapping or actor voicing)

I think doing some swapping between words should not be too difficult but we have to choose what would be the final message to record. (and quick, judging by what James said)

We need to find out why James won't just let us send it back the way it is, And someone has to act just like the guy on the phone and be able to speak like him to. We need to change it maybe..

Waitwaitwait ... Just give me a little time for a first rough transcription ...

- er - how exactly do I get into the IRC once I finished the transcribing bit (and providing that I still have time then and don't have to leave for work?)

I really think acting should be our very last option, we don't have real dutch speaker and one would also have to perform with kinda the some voice.

mp3 editing should be safer.

if nothing else, the numbers/stadia/directions bit would be hugely helpful.

Good to see you're here!

OK, here we go. A VERY rough attempt. I'm simply posting all I got while I am still trying to figure out the remaining bits. This is probably still full of mistakes, so we should try and get a native speaker of Dutch to check it. German would be the easiest thing in the world. Swedish would be as simple as anything. Even Norwegian. But DUTCH? Help.
Watch our for additional edits. This is DEFINITELY a work in progress ...
Marked bold: The parts I am not certain about.

Quote:

*VERY hard to understand. Could be "dertig" (30) or "veertig" (40)?

Quote:

This is Theo agent Devoldevaarg (?) with a report about the transport of La Sesa Ringo tring (?) number one. De former location of number One was _5 (35? 45?) thousand 4 hundred and 2 stadia direction Hestia 12 from omphalos number 8. For the moment we have shifted the ring to 13,560 stadia direction Hestia 7.8. From next Tuesday the ring will be hidden for __ days (?) in the center of a three circuit left-running (I hope I got that correctly!) labyrinth with a width of 5.51 stadia. But the entry of the labyrinth __ with the Tattoo Museum and the fork of the labyrinth is located under a hoep of __ 12. When the ring ophaald for its -__ destiny must give a password to the ringkeeper in order to get hold of the ring.

EDIT (13:2Cool HA! Lunchbreak. Let's see what I can achieve durin this precious half hour ...

So they're about to do a transfer for the lost rings artwork. A meeting place with a password to give (the password being given by the riddle in english

If we need to falsify bit of this message, it should definitly be the location part. (From one town to another would be great)

I've got the steps.
It's Da Lat to Brisbane, to the Wellington area.
(11.94448,108.44436 to 27°27′16″S, 153°32′14″E to 41°01′38″S, 175°25′27″E)

Definitely NZ. Definitely North Island. The point corresponding to Brisbane is about 50 km east of town. And the one in NZ is about 50 km east of Wellington.

Does the labyrinth description mean anything Mr. Judkins?

Great work, Canzonett! Very Happy

I have contacted two people who might be able to help. Well, I know that one, for sure, could help, since he is Dutch and an ARGer.

If we change the "omphalos number 8" part into something else (it's easy, there's lot of numbers in the mp3), will it be enougth to falsify ?

If yes, i'll do rigth it now.

We need more information, I think. We aren't quite sure what those last few instructions are. Also, if the directions end up in the ocean, that would be obvious.
