EDIT: hey Wolfhawk, do you know about the Warriors series? by your name, it sounds like it.

No, not until you mentioned it here. I looked it up and it looks like a series I would love. "Wolf" and "Hawk" are two of my animal totems.

aye it looks like something is upcoming again so watch this space...

BTW I also can no longer log in to the member area, hey ho.

oh and bbtw:

http://www.youtube.com/user/TheSkyRemains

Three new videos

I think they should just make a mini series out of those two! Always make me laugh out loud.

Pat and Dave do it with frizbees - This is exactly how me and carmen felt wandering round in circles in bristol on the mscape.

Added links on the wiki to all the vids

They also have uploaded the water mscape:

http://www.mscapers.com/msin/ABA0000466

and a new mscape based on Wendy:

http://www.mscapers.com/msin/ABA0000474

(although this is played in Stockholm : This is one part of 14 other field based missions which must be pieced together on the Sky Remains. www.theskyremains.com)

The most interesting part is :

Go there to see if the mscape will break you through the rift and pick up clues to what happened to Wendy in that place. Try to be discrete – we don’t want The 17th Shard to get hold of these mscape devices.

The rift game is a lot more forgiving as you move around the city rather than in a small place like the other two games. Because of this the game is a lot more forgiving if the satelite position keeps changing.

Damn annoying I cant get on the sky remains website though ><

*Edit ooh I can get on now yay

Ill do the London one at lunch as its 5 mins from my office and will be a good laugh for the city boys me wandering around looking mad! will also try and wiki them all later.

Also a link to each of them has been set up on TSR forum and notes can be put there about what happens in the mscape.

Dont scroll over the spoiler unless you want to know how the mscapes fit in with the next puzzle. I would recommend if you are able to, to try them out first and then place your answer in the TSR forum linked here:

http://www.theskyremains.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3

Ive put in the London one.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ok then each of the mscapes has a letter associated with it. Once these letters are collected they form an anagram and this will lead to a page on the site. Since it is possible to break down the mscapes and take out the letters I dont think this page is yet live and probably wont be active till people have managed to try the mscapes out themselves. Therefore in the spirit of the game I wont post the solution but if we do brick wall again due to a lack of geographical players, then at least we have a way around it....

Hey everyone!

Hey everyone! I was very interested in The Sky Remains when I first found it, and I came to this thread. When I had completed all the original 8 tasks, I was on about page 30, when there was the file cabinet, and eveything was about geocaching and MScape.

I then came immediately to page 40, here, to ask if anyone could explain everything there is to be explained about all this geocaching business and how it links with the next clues and stuff? I have been on the wiki and everything, but that doesn't explain about the next stages, just shows they were done, so I would really appreciate it if someone would help me out in understanding this stuff?

Thanks in advance!
StapledPuppet

EDIT: Also, please may someone tell a good GPS to use for this kinda thing, and BTW I live a couple of miles away from Lincoln!

Hi there SP, If you have checked out the wiki you probably know most of what there is.

At the moment there are the geocaches still left, each geocache contains a letter that we need to put together with the others to form an answer.

With the Mscapes, as we seem to have stalled they have released 14 of them that again have a letter in each. Once we collect these it should move us forward again.

Details of the recommended hardware for the mscapes is :

http://www.theskyremains.com/FAQ.html

Although for the geocaches googlemaps is sufficient (in most cases)

I managed to complete the Edinburgh fieldwork mScape. Blimey, it only took me into one of the dodgiest areas of Edinburgh (sorry no disrespect to the author who created this mScape, if you live there, but it is dodgey!)

Thankfully, I did this mScape in my car, so no need to break out my Portuguese knife fighting skills. I've posted the solve on the Sky Remains Forum:

http://www.theskyremains.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38

Note to Author: As a side note to mScape authors, creating the mScape's in "Portrait" mode as opposed to "Landscape" will allow compatibility with older devices. I had to install Nyditot Virtual Display 5.02 on my Windows PPC 2003 to change the screen orientation, otherwise the mScape Player locks up and a reset is required.
