In regards to Pond's '94 creation: Couldn't it have been made by a different company, and then bought by whomever might need it? Especially if this original hypothetical Pond company went under; I would imagine that the domain name would be quite cheap.

I really hate to burst the bubble here, but I highly doubt that pond.com is IG. The reason that searching Google under Prometheus Corporation turns up that page is because it used to belong to a internet service and hosting provider by the name of FishNet / Prometheus Information Corporation. From what I can tell, it was bought by the current owners in December 2007.
And, I would probably bet that the whole Prometheus Corp angle will be a dead end anyway. The name was changed to Massive Dynamics in the show, so I doubt that the name Prometheus Corp would still be used. Especially, since there is a real company named Prometheus Corp that was tried for fraud: http://www.sec.gov/litigation/litreleases/lr17682.htm. I don't think that they would want to be associated in any way.

If Master Stuart is an IG character, the PMs have gone to a great deal of work to make him seem real. For instance, in addition to all those rather mundane India travel videos, he also has a Yahoo answers profile that's been active since June 2006.
I think that clinches it, he's either OOG, or someone they brought in for the game.

He has an account here that he posted on in January 2005. So, I also really doubt that this is IG either. As for his cryptic answers, take a read down his profile information on that site -- especially the bit about Orlando. It seems he's being strange and cryptic just because he IS strange. (However, I will note that he does say that one of his interests is "Designing things like Halo")
So, just calm down guys! The show doesn't come out for 3 months, we may have to give them a little bit of time.

The fact that the corporation is now called Massive Dynamics in the show is what clinched it for me that pond.com in not IG. So just ignore my previous comments, I guess.

As for Master Quark, I just think its a little too convenient that the PMs link to his YouTube page from their official website AND he is this flippant, obtuse fellow that likes to speak in riddles. He may not be a IG character per se, rather someone that BR is in cahoots with to help this thing go viral (as if they needed much help)

Personally, I'm doubting that one. Registered back in June 1994? That's quite a bit of foresight...
That was when the name was registered and really doesn't mean anything. People were buying up domain names to resell them back then....they still do. It's such a generic name, it would be the kind that was snapped up in hopes a pool or water feature company would buy it. But I have to go with degravedi here, and my gut, and say I don't think this is IG.

Maybe further communication with him will prove otherwise, but for now I'm in total agreement.

on the fringetv site, he says: "(and pleas note that is a 6 fingered hand like mine in the bottom frame" Umm, I thought it was someone they were interviewing on the youtube video, not the person himself who had 6 fingers???
Yeah he also mentions in the YouTube video description that it is "a small world" when commenting about the 12 fingered man, implying that he himself has 12 (or maybe 11) fingers. I tried to catch a glimpse of this in his videos. I took this screen cap.
EDIT: Guess I don't have the privledges to add attachments. You'll have to go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N77PdaV55UY and jump to 51 secs.
It looks to me like 10 fingers.

I would like to agree that pond.com is not IG......BUT....... Previous posters on this thread are correct in saying that the date registered only the original registration date....following that the domain could easily have been sold and re-sold before finally being transferred to 'Domains by proxy' where the information for the registrant was 'hidden'. I work for the global registrar of the .WS top level domain and unfortunately have to unlock domains and process transfer codes all day ...which is what I should be doing right now. Also...when you click into the site and view the image of the tree in close up does anyone else see the image of the key slightly below the flower? Kind of a strange thing to add to the graphic for a gardening site....

Not exactly. Kelvin Genetics is the army program that the toothpaste company was a cover for. I don't believe the name of the company was said in the pilot.

This has gotten us so far off track. Pond.com was found when someone did a search for Prometheus Corp the old and no longer relevant name for Massive Dynamics. Pond.com is obviously someone's very ambitious gardening site and nothing more. Unless someone can find a different way to connect it to Fringe.

I've got to agree with AzureWolf , I don't see any reasonable connection between Fringe and pond.com.
In other news, there are three new Fringe radio trailers out, at least one of which ("scanner") has some scrambled-sounding noise within it. The clips are here .
Anyone out there have skills at analyzing sound files?
