Yaha,clairenor and Kudos. Imagine almost everyone has seen your work at the IG forum. But as you are now a member here(and welcome again) no one else has reposted it here.

Please feel free to take a lil bow and post the solve here if you wish. Cool

The solution to PK IWSFRA PBEQ

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Re: PK IWSFRA PBEQ

I did it...................... The key is the new information (anagram of cavemen suited me) and then if create a playfair square with that starting, going round in a circle (or spiral as in the email "Don't go on spiral searches with information ")

it should look (something) like this

a m u s e
k l o p n
n y z q t
g x w r d
f b c i v

It reads "on craigs list"

then a hint from our friend because the site is big
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I really wasn't dropping a subtle hint when I talked about Linux - I just picked Shrike because RH 9 was the first version of Linux that I cut my teeth on here at The Organization.

I think that the fact Richard posted the keyword and the code on the 30th might also imply that his posting on Craigslist would also be on the 30th. I'm not sure under what category his post would be however I think looking in his hometown city on Craigslist is definitely a good start.

For the record, I'm not hiding clues in this post, I'm just working with my fellow Agents on this one.

I couldn't read your screen shot, but I enjoy solving sliders and got to the final screen, so here's my transcription:

Well I likely won't be around for the broadcast. It's at 8pm in my neck of the woods and I have plans. Hopefully there will still be some puzzle solving left when I am able to check back in. If not, I hope you guys have some fun with it.

i've only been a lurker, doing the occasional puzzle but not following the forum or character profile.

So where is this broadcast? I went to http://retro.illusionsinc.ca/ where the announcement used to be, but now it is rattling off numerals -- is that the broadcast we were told to await?

(btw, yes it is now past 1am GMT July 12)

Did you happen to get the numbers? Nothing happens when you go to the site now. Anyone else listen?

Mission 6

Re-entered mission five and got this email:

Quote:
//_Agents,

An email from Richard came in on the morning of July 11 and I didn't think much of it until I heard the curious radio transmission at 1 AM GMT on July 12. I'm convinced these are linked somehow. Please input whatever you find into your terminal located at the address below:

http://experiencethenode.com/12132/agent.php

Again, I have set up a forum topic for agents here:

Good Luck!

Hi Neflyte,

I'm just writing to remind you that I'll be out of the office on vacation from July 18 until about August 9th or so. Based on the workload here at The Organization I thought I'd better inform you now rather than later.

What I heard was the following, with rinky-tinky music inbetween breaks, and the whole thing loops.
Code:
6633663366336633
{two audio tones: high note, low note, high, low, high low}
9956 9956 8730 8730 6533 6533 4937 4937 3421 3421 6998 6998 3828 3828 7761 7761 8293 8293
{two audio tones (possibly different pitch than before): high note, low note, high, low, high low}
{a musical melody played on a calliope or similar instrument*}

*edit to add the melody below
The melody is in 3/4 time (that's 3 beats per measure, or counted out "1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3" like a waltz)
The notes begin below middle C and stay in that octave except for the D above middle C:
Code:
| ..G | C.C | CBA | G.F | E.G | C.C | D.B | C-- |

That musical phrase repeats once.

@ Catherwood

Could you possibly shed some light on the breaks you mentioned? Were the breaks only between the numbers where indicaed in your post, or were there also breaks between the duplicated numbers in each line. Was there any hesitation in between the recitation of the numbers as if the voice was repeating them for clarity? Sorry, I should have asked these questions when it was more fresh on your mind, but it seems that you are the only one that heard the transmission.

The voice was mechanical and female, like a computer reader, and the recording was low quality; I had difficulty distinguishing between "nine" and "one" at times, because it sounded muffled. The pacing was like when a telephone recording reads off a phone number, enunciating each number at a steady pace, with a pause of a specific length where needed.

I modified my post above, to make it more clear. No more line breaks, with a brief pause between 4-digit sets, then maybe 10 seconds of music between sections. At times, the loop seemed to restart or break up while buffering again, which dropped some digits, but in the long run the entire set was repeatedly confirmed.
