I don't see how that would help Hale directly, but maybe she is relaying top-secret information to Hale's friends which would make-up the story for the eight-player co-op, but Hale isn't with them in the co-op, but they are willing to help because Hale is their friend.


... but that still leaves us with the "why" question both coming and going... Confused

Does anyone have any extra info on these guys? Names, company, anything?


Hale was in the "United States Army Rangers 1st Regiment" according to the game manual.

Here's another theory based on yours.
Hale is part of The Sentinels, the group of Chimera resistance soldiers. The US Army is using them as their last effort to destroy the Chimera. After they finish their mission they will be "blacked out" in order to destroy any traces of the Chimera Virus so nothing like this will happen again. Or, they may be killed and autopsied in order to make an vaccine. Then they will give everyone the "flu" vaccine and this will never happen again.

I dont know where the picture comes in though since it was taken before he knew he was resistant to the virus so I doubt they are all the same way.


EDIT: I was just reading the post on this on PS3 Fanboy and someone comment this.

No this is a picture from the video game. This was the picture that was in the locker. Its slightly different which is a surprise (To me atleast)

 		Just a suggestion. Please save SPOILER tags for puzzle solves and actual info that is spoiler (like you got advanced notice of a plot point).

Speculation can easily be labeled [SPEC].

Going through a bunch of posts full of spoiler boxes can be off putting. You are not always sure what is safe and what is not. Then requoting them in entirety makes it a little difficult to follow.

You guys are doing a bang up job explaining stuff to those of us who didn't play the first game. Thank you so much for that. No reason to spoiler any of that info since the game & it's story have been out in public for quite some time.

Advice taken. Thanks. I didnt want to be the new guy that ruined everything so I went a bit spoiler crazy.

 		the picture on project abraham looks like it is much older than the one from the game. Maybe it shows aging because the new game is set after the first Resistance, and someone has found the photo.

 		Just to make sure that everyone's noticed this, the "new" Popular Technologies issue came out November 1950 and Hale doesn't go to fight in Britain until July 1951. So it seems that the ARG at least will be taking place BEFORE the events in Resistance: Fall of Man.

It also seems to fit: in May 1950 "Rumours of Chimera in Europe cause panic across America, so the office of Perception Protection and Guidance begins producing programmes for television and radio that speak of an influenza epidemic in Europe. This explanation quickly raises public support for the increased border protection. Slowly, all independent broadcasting is replaced with government propaganda."

And, November 1950 is exactly the time period in which the Chimera have completely overtaken Europe, finishing off Britain. So it would make a lot of sense for the US to start drumming up it's recruiting process at this point, knowing very well that they are the world's next superpower and a likely target. Not to mention that they launch their own attack/investigation in the form of a naval fleet that reaches Britain in June 1951, which they would want a good number of soldiers for.

So some [SPEC]:
Knowing that the US is working round-the-clock to find a cure for the Chimera virus, Project Abraham could be the study's codename (especially since to cure something quickly in humans, they are almost certainly doing human experimentation with the Chimera virus). This also seems to be verified by some of the footage in R2's second trailer, that seems to show Chimera-centric experimentation. Or instead of just trying to cure the virus (knowing the sneaky types of experimentation that gone on by world governments), perhaps they're trying to produce supersoldiers? Controllable hybrids (like what Hale becomes) that would be able to combat the Chimera much more easily? :shrug: like I said, just some speculation until we get something more concrete to do.

If you use the slider on the map here, and go to the 5th mark from the right and click the doorway you can watch a video touring what looks to be a medical room. Not sure if theres any connection, but I find it interesting.

Ok I feel really stupid for not noticing that date. So now we can say that GetAWarJob.com takes place in 1950 but would that mean the same about ProjectAbe.com?

That Spec is making sense. I think the Russians were playing with super soldiers when they accidentally made Chimera. The Americans will be loving to reverse engineer this.

Is the man being rushed through the hospital is an experimental project then why is he being rushed into an hospital at all? You would think that if they are preforming experiments on live subjects that they would have doctors and other medical stuff in the same room. Then also on that line, why is Cassie yelling about them killing him? She must be part of "Project Abraham" so she knows that comes with the job.

Lol! Don't feel stupid! And I dunno about ProjectAbraham since we have very little to go on, but if I had to wager a guess I would say that this'll all be in the same time period (especially since it was PT that lead to the video as well).

This is also only SPEC, but if I were trying to fit the experimentation theory, I'd say: maybe before his condition declined, he was in some sort of living quarters or other non-medical part of the facility. However as we see, for whatever reason he now needs medical attention / armed supervision and is returned to the main medical facilities. As for Cassie, her casting call says that she's doing the psychological testing on the soldiers (would fit if it is soldiers being experimented on to be supersoldiers) which would keep her in close contact with them. It also says that she's empathetic and struggles to make decisions that not only affect their lives, but the future of mankind, as well as embodying the moral dilemma of the story. So, I take that to mean that she's a bleeding heart and would try to save all her patients (whether they're savable or not) as long as they still exhibit some human quality -- which he must since she's still holding his hand and he's asking for help.

(BTW, plausible speculation is definitely one of my loves. Give me something and I can spit out any number of reasons it could be true/untrue. XD Now if only I could get a job doing that, total fabulousness.)

I definitely think it's the basic symbol with an added bar at the bottom instead of just the arrow.

That could be very likely. I mean if they are making Hale like Hybrids then it could happen. In R:FOM Hale acts has "moments" where he'll fall to his knees with Chimera visions and other strange things. Now we've only seen what happened to him in 3 days and he says that he'll be dying soon in the trailer so it's looking like whoever is on the gurney has crossed paths with the Chimera Virus somewhere or another.

This is what we got so far I guess...

    Sep 1921: Russia closes its borders.
    Aug 1926: Volga River in Russia has an "episode" in which 1000x normal levels of Radon is found, killing all marine life and some villagers.(The R2 Trailer shows alot of water and narrator states "How we have been here")
    1928 US pattens VTOL
    1930's Reports of Russia's Bio Experiments leak
    Aug 1930 Unusually cold weather coming form Russia is detected. (The Chimera is able to control weather. Latest start of Virus Experiments)
    1935 VTOL Project is accelerated.
    April 1937 Mysterious construction in Alaska starts. Hidden by Army
    Feb 1938 Sweden has coldest winter ever recorded. (Again with the weather)
    June 1938 Russian Ghost Towns start popping up with no sign of bodies.
    Feb 1942 Latvia spotters sight odd lights and planes up in the sky. (Surveillance anyone?)
    Feb 1947 Russian Refugee body is found at British Embassy is found carrying an Chimera skull.
    April 1949 Mysterious "New Threat" arises in Europe. (
    Dec 1949 Chimera invades Europe.
    May 1950 America starts propaganda.
    Oct 1950 Chimera start attack on England
    Nov 1950 Popular Technologies (Issue found in Gamepro Magazine) Comes out.
    1950 Getawarjob.com and possible ProjectAbraham.com start
    Jan 1951 England falls to Chimera.
    July 11th, 1951 US starts invasion in England to stop Chimera. Sgt Hale on second wave in. Similar picture to the one seen on ProjectAbraham.com/blackout is seen. Story of Resistance: Fall Of Man begins
    July 14th, 1951 Hale is marked KIA by US Army. Chimera stopped in England.
    July 14th, 1951 to 1953 During this time, Hale is found my US Army Black Ops, sent to a base with a group of other men immune to the Chimera are at, Base is attacked by Chimera, Hale and other men escape to US.
    1953 Chimera start their attack on east and west coast of the United States. Resistances 2 plot follows soon after.

Looks great to me! And I'm certain you're right. Whether due to experimentation or otherwise, I'd guarantee the guy on the gurney is somewhere in the middle of a transformation between human and Chimera.
