The Dark Knight (thread here)
The Dark Knight ARG, put on by 42 Entertainment, is generally tons of frantic action for a few days followed by lulls -- but it's designed into the game, so it's cool. Familiar faces such as Harvey Dent, the Joker, and recently even the Bat himself have made showings...lot of phone calls, lot of events at local stores

Find the Lost Ring (thread here)
Find the Lost Ring, sponsored by McDonalds and put on by AKQA (the Halo 3 team) and Jane McGonigal (maker of cool live events) is putting on a promotion for the Olympics. Multilingual players, balls of yarn, and a collection of athletes from other worlds encouraged to run around blindfolded without ramming into people.

Holomove (thread here)
Nobody really knows who's doing it (although rumors and suppositions are rampant) which is actually pretty cool. Definitely high budget, a company is developing advanced holographic stuff while Nate screws around at work. At least he's good at codes. There was recently a live event in Florida.

The White Island (thread here)
A raver ARG. It's going to be taking place at clubs and discotheques across Europe. Put on by Black Swan Arts and Pete Tong, both veterans of the Emmy-winning Ocular Effect ARG. If glowsticks aren't involved, I'm going to feel so cheated.

Blood Copy (thread here)
Promoting a (movie? tv miniseries?) based on a book about vampires. Large cast of characters, bloodsuckers. Recently sent a few players vials of fake blood that tastes deliciously sweet. Company isn't listed on NYSE yet. Forums may include people who believe they actually are vampires.

Beacon of Light, Shadow in the Darkness (thread here)
Possibly overshadowed by the pre-game Pastry Wars that pitted Ho-Hos against Twinkies, this game is put on by Brain Clouds Darklight. Don't know much about it, but the fans seem fairly rabid about it. Estimates say about 3 weeks left for the game.

Haven't been following this as closely recently, but it's an ARG promoting an "adult film" that doesn't actually deal with porn in any way, shape, or form. Somehow that concept boggles my mind. ARGaeology storyline!

Dollhouse ARG - What seems to have been a teaser was put out for Whedon's new show
The Ministry - Six to Start (founded by like half the team behind Perplex City, creators of We Tell Stories) is doing a campaign with Channel 4 to educate kids about online privacy
Harry Potter ARG -- Rumored for over a year, launch delayed for almost as long, the development time and subject promises good things, if/when we see it

My suggestion? Check the descriptions, see if there's anything that catches your fancy. And don't be afraid to wait for the "right game" if nothing does. Some people might disagree with me on that point.
