from the factbook: Heard Island - 80% ice-covered, bleak and mountainous.

This doesn't sound at all like a description that matches any of the photos offered at either site. Both are densely forested.

FWIW, the pictures on the 8march2003.com page have been converted to .jpgs.

since this thing is now "live" (of a sort. Some mighty big gaps between updates by the looks!) shouldn't it get it's own forum?

Has anyone checked the photo's since they've been converted to .jpg for steg's? I haven't a clue how to do it...also, Heard Island? Where was that mentioned? Must of missed it...I thought we were either in the mountains of Peru or Australia down under....

I know the terrain doesn't match the pictures but i think we all agree that the pictures are abviously fakes. I was looking deeper into either the marketing ploy or just in case, the truth.

The site i found had both the hm factor and cia link, also the new status of isolation of this island is perhaps significant as a referance point for their source of ideas, or maybe this is in fact the location the "real" hm was trying to bring to our attention - i don't know either way but it is just another bit of information to look at and consider.

The whole ark 2 thing is bogus and after some checking up even if ALL the ice on earth was to melt, the resultant rise in sea level would be no more than 250 feet. Disasterous for all the low lying lands and cities but not the "waterworld" disaster that would lead you to need a supersub up a mountain ????

Have tried to see what other people are finding out and reporting but it is very very quiet, try yourself searching for updates or news and little comes back - maybe everyone was so disapointed on the 8th they have gave up as a bad joke ??

http://www.darkinsight.com/arkfinder_/forums/index.php still tries to keep interest alive but the 10th of march site www.10march2003.com has a "hidden" forum you can go into if you highlight the bottom of the page and click on the "x" - site seems poor attempt to get on the bandwagon and the comments left in the board reflect the distain.

Hmm, the arkfinder board seems almost in-game.

Dunno quite what to make of the 10march2003.com site, except beware the photshopped anal pic. Shocked
