And now, to veer dangerously back on topic. What would be disappointing for me?

If Bungie or Microsoft just ends the game with a vapid promotion. Like a demo of Halo 2.

Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't mind a demo. But, if this story we're catching glimpses of doesn't pan out to something wonderful and interesting...well. It would spoil Halo 2 for me. Seriously. I'd get over it, but it just wouldn't feel the same.

Sure, the joke may be 'tacky' as you call it, but many jokes are. I purposely typed a 'tacky' or 'corny' joke in a mild attempt to revive this thread, which by the way is on life support.
