 		The letter says to "assess the remaining six candidates." There were 7 men in the photo, minus one makes 6 (yay I kans du math). So it seems like they're indicating that this was a photo of the Project Abraham subjects, which would make Hale one? Was it ever actually confirmed in the last game that he was one of the people in the photo? It could just be that one of them was a relative/friend. Or if it was him, perhaps they weren't told what the experiment actually entailed (hence his lack of Chimera knowledge).

(continuous slamming on door beside Cassie)
Doctor: I'll hold the door. Get help! Whoa!
(doctor gets knocked back. Slamming continues)
(Cassie runs to the door. Soldiers barge in)

i think Hale is the second guy from the left.

Dephibrillator start sound at "you can't do this, stop it", and if it would get discharged at the moment he sees the syringe.

The letter is written before Hale was sent to York, which was 1951. So I'm guessing it's the prologue to the first game? Or maybe how the Chimeran virus was made?

I think that the chimera first showed up at the Tunguska event, which was in 1908. So no, this can't be the cause as its over forty years later. But it could be how Hale got his immunity.

Yes it was in the 50's in an alternate timeline where WW2 never occured.
