The door has opened but we have a lost a valuable person of the team. Kim Stakowski has died. A note appeared after the door has opened.
You have been beaten to the first door.
someone has died
it was your loss
because you could not find.

Does
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"!-- bid: 594007865055301 --"
mean anything to anyone?
or

Also joined team sk33...wheee
Edit: I had to change the carrots in the spoilers to quotation marks otherwise the boards treats them as code. I guess that kind of answers my own question.

That means it was put deliberately into the code so that it couldn't be seen on the site.

Yeah, was just weird b/c when I pasted them into this thread and hit submit, it took away the "!--" parts and the numbers. I ended up with <bid> Not sure what to make of the number, yet.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I found them in the source code on Kuya's blog page

just checked it out, and ya when you see something in coding looking like this <!-- blah -- with another opposite arrow thing on the end (generally it will show in green when reading the actual code) it means it isn't part of the actual code. They are used as notes for programmers to organize code and make notes of fixes for problems and such. basically it doesn't show up anywhere but in the code which is why ARG's love hiding stuff in there.
though that I don't believe is anything. If I remember correctly bid actually has to do with the code...don't quite remember what it means. Haven't done much programming for awhile.
Also just to note: I looked through the source code for every page of all 3 websites known for this game...I don't remember seeing that. Either I just missed it or it was added.

aren't those just numbers added onto the weebly source when you make a new blog post? I haven't used weebly for a while so I don't remember.

Think it was just added. Another string of text was added to the source just after the second blog entry on Kuya's page.

I tried a few different ciphers. I don't think it's anything either, but I fairly new to all this.

If you are referring to the string of numbers, I'm not quite convinced it is the second door. If you are referring to something else...do you mind sharing?

I received an email from the Kuya team. I don't believe I am to share beyond that, sorry. The second door has been found by the Kuya team at least, and a poem was given to solve.

teh_lisa both teams recieve an email at the same time.
as this is a place to discuss the clues given, it is perfectly fine to post them here...that is kind of the point of this forum. Yes we are competing on two separate sides, doesn't mean we can't help eachother to find the answer and race to see who can e-mail thier team first
Team Sk33 e-mail for the second door:
following the link takes you to a page with a riddle just like last time. it is an image so i'll copy what it says and see if i can find anything else in the image:
Quote:
Robots that took over where stopped later that day
Where they became lost inside a sea of dreams
Shut down and rusted inside a machine
The robots where never to be seen
notice the "where" instead of were in the first and last lines

That same mistake was present in the initial blog.

Likely not important...
