The password for the Alaska section is frozen fortress

it's all at http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=resistance&thread.id=14511

There is also a very interesting thread about morse code in the first game's pause screens
http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=resistance&thread.id=15610

There might be some sort of autoreply that could give more clues...

Every time I want to add something someone beats me to it, I can't even find the article from the G.A.P. that had some very interesting things.

Just FYI:
The password for the second one (Big Scrape copper mine in Nevada, US) is "several concerns"

ETA: Both of these events occur WAY in the past of the game's "current time" - 1937 for Alaska and 1934 for Nevada

Sent something to the email, and have not received a reply. That was one day one of the site going up. As for the address, I sent something that way as well, but snail mail takes longer...

On the letter from /blackout could there be a hidden message in the warped text?

Some links between the text and the video:

"Violently unpredictable nature" - in the video, the door was being smashed. Failed experiment? The virus DID affect the "lab rats" in the end, so the serum didn't use? Is that why the black-ops are rushing in?

New psychiatric consult - who is (s)he?

Bio chem team analyze data from PAST ATTEMPTS - so the video we have seen is not about the first experiment.

"Better direction in the next few days" - new letter coming up?

"Resume the testing protocol in the next two weeks" - new videos?

Severity of the Alaskan winter - if I'm right, the spread of the virus was indicated by a fall in the temperature in Europe (see on this image)

As for the video:

I think, so far, the camera was a person, so in the first one, we have seen the whole thing from the patient's perspective. Now, it's changing.

First, when we see the doctor wash his hands (and the red light flashes - indication of virus infection), it is NOT from the perspective of Cassie, it could be someone observing the whole thing. The same person is the observer throughout the video.

Then, there is the second perspective that they view the conversation in.

Also, I've been wondering about the close-ups... Could they be important? For some words they close up on Cassie, or the doc. Sometimes the red flash "underlines" some sentences. Could these words be found in the letter?

Other stuff:

the photo - yes, seven people, six more, etc... Why does the first one have a black spot on his shirt? Is it a rank, or something?

But fortunately, before it gets too big, we should hit CFWP or possibly even full blown ARG status. I remember Tom Tooman having 30 or so pages with 2 sites. It's just important to pick through the useless info to find the nuggets you need.

Actually, there's really no use to pick through most any of it. Read the wiki in the first post, that gets you everything but the bio on Cassie (which I do apologize, I'll get that up there soon).

The new psychiatric consult is Dr. Cassie Aklin, who would be the blond woman in the videos.

FYI, the location appears to be a mailbox at the local UPS store. Which doesn't mean anything, necessarily.

I know this is a really minor thing, but has anyone else noticed that the star logo on the letter on /blackout and shirts in the base doesn't have the 'tail' that the black ops had on it?

I think because their operation either predates the black-ops division or is a separate entity altogether.... but just a guess.
