Invitation Sharing Thread
For requesting and posting availability of invitations to private/beta sites

I admit that I'm posting this for selfish reasons to get it rolling, but I think it's something that could benefit the community. Mods - Please move if this is an inappropriate area or edit the sites list if you feel there are any that should not be listed, here.

There are a lot of private or beta sites that require an invitation to get an account or otherwise use the site. Like when gmail/googlemail was in beta.

There are sites like Invite Share that help connect people with invites, but personally, I'm averse to registering at sites like this.

So I thought maybe we could set up our own area for requesting or posting of availability for invites.

Here's a seed list of sites that use an "invitation only" model, currently:

123people.com
a.viary.com
asmallworld.net
bitmetv.org
blogburst.com
boomloop.com
bravo.yahoo.com
brightkite.com
centerd.com
combo.com
doostang.com
feedthe.net
fireeagle.yahoo.net
grandcentral.com
grono.net
hdbits.org
iminta.com
indietorrents.org
iscrybe.com
knocka.tv
liverail.com
livestation.com
lovinlounge.com
lunarr.com
mash.yahoo.com
mugr.com
musana.com
mym.com
myshowroom.tv
orgoo.com
scenetorrents.org
seesmic.com
snapfoo.com
socialthing.com
spoonflower.com
spotify.com
streamy.com
supertorrents.org
synctv.com
torrentleech.org
twine.com
wallop.com
wishdone.com
wix.com
wua.la
www.support.magnify.net/pages/webcam.capture
yayhooray.com
yumondo.com
zivity.com

I know NOTHING about most of these, so again, if any are "inappropriate", either let me or the mods know and we can remove them from the list.

I know some of the "Puzzle" sites use an invite system along with a lot of social networking sites. So, if you've got invites available, post them, here.

Now for the selfish part...

Anybody got a spare invite for Grand Central www.grandcentral.com laying around? I have a request in with Google, but hear it's taking them 2 or more weeks to process new requests.

I have a GrandCentral account right now, but I'm not sure if I can get an invite out of that.

EDIT: Have five Aviary invites. PM me or something.

IIRC, Rogi, there are no invites for GC out there right now. Users aren't allowed to send them right now, for whatever reason.
