ARGFestocon - Speech Blitz

We are a mere ten days from the official kick-off to ARGFest-o-Con 2008, and things are heating up. We are happy to announce that we are offering a new feature to this year's ARGFest � a speech blitz! What is a speech blitz, you might be asking? Well, it's exactly what it sounds like � a blitz of speeches, performed by ten individuals who are each given three minutes of podium time to get their thoughts and opinions out to the audience. The Speech Blitz will take place in the panel slot just after lunch on Saturday, July 19th.

We are asking eight professionals to come up with a three minute speech on The Future of Alternate Reality Gaming, which we hope will provide many different ideas, predictions, and insights from the people who are already creating these experiences. However, we have ten speaking slots, so that means we have to fill two more, and this is where you, our audience, come in.

We are offering two speech blitz spots to attendees of ARGFest that are not already panelists or speakers during the conference. We will be taking submissions at speechblitzSPLATargfestocon.com until Sunday, July 13, 2008. To enter, send us your finished, polished speech, along with your name and registration code. We will be choosing two entries by Wednesday, July 15th, and will be announcing the lucky participants at the cocktail party, which happens between 7pm and 10pm on Friday, July 18th.

Remember, the topic is The Future of Alternate Reality Gaming and your speech has to be three minutes long, so type up your thoughts and practice in front of a mirror, because the next panelist could be you!
