as this is a place to discuss the clues given, it is perfectly fine to post them here...that is kind of the point of this forum. Yes we are competing on two separate sides, doesn't mean we can't help eachother to find the answer and race to see who can e-mail thier team first
Team Sk33 e-mail for the second door:
following the link takes you to a page with a riddle just like last time. it is an image so i'll copy what it says and see if i can find anything else in the image:
Quote:
Robots that took over where stopped later that day
Where they became lost inside a sea of dreams
Shut down and rusted inside a machine
The robots where never to be seen
notice the "where" instead of were in the first and last lines
Peacemaker: I understand that both teams receive the emails. I am of the opinion that if this is a team-based ARG maybe the sharing should be limited. Not that I don't like help/to help, I just don't know that 'racing to see who can email their team first' is really the point or fun for that matter Just my opinion though.

Well, considering I have not received a confirmation email that my team has accecpted me ( ) nor an email about a second door, I need as much help as possible if I wish to participate.

thats fine lisa...though as we both recieve the EXACT same riddle, i don't think it really matters how much of it we share. Its more who can understand the riddle first, and the fun is simply well figuring out what the riddle means.
Phomaster - ya didn't think it meant much, just thought i'd point it out in case.
robots lost in a sea of dreams...is anyone else reminded of I Robot?

I don't think they where either...just thought maybe it could lead someone to some kind of answer.
what do you guys think, do the codes for the door have to be numbers? or could they be anything?

Maybe the day that Kuya and Skiya split

Sea of dreams may refer to inNaWrld (the cyber community)
Quote:
Shut down and rusted inside a machine
Possibly th inNa itself
Quote:
The robots where never to be seen
The name of this game is Lost Roboy. So I think we start looking for a boy robot here.

Where would we look though?

Maybe...

Noticed this in the "Alternate text" field: "The image "http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/944/cluejm2.png" cannot be displayed, because it contains errors." Not really much of point having that pop up as alternate text is there? Maybe some type of clue...

Well considering the only place I could find on the entire internets (and yes I seach all the internets) that mention inNa or inNaWrld was the blogger page, that line of speculation doesn't really help us open any doors.
I did find this:
But it is a dead end.
I also dropped the poem image into photoshop. I was hoping for alpha channel since it is a png. Dead end as well as far as I can tell. Back to the drawing board.

there has to be something in the image we're missing. Don't you think?

There are no hidden layers or paths, no alpha channels, no meta data. It is just a plain old png. The only 2 things about the image that I find somewhat odd are 1) that it is named cluejm2. I wonder why the jm2 part? Why not just clue.png and 2) that there seems to be a lot of space between the 4 lines of the poem; a cipher seems like it would sit in between those lines quite nicely.

i definitely think we are missing something with the image...especially since the first clue we got just as text in an email, i mean why an image now?
I don't know much about how hiding stuff in images works, nor much about ciphers. i'll do some research, meanwhile, if someone here knows what to actually look for, please be my guest and see if you can find something we are missing.

I have been going over the poem looking for anything that might prove useful and discovered a number of things...first of all the number of characters (not counting spaces) in each line are as follows:
42
36
31
27
Also, note that in descending order there are:
36 + 6 = 42
31 + 5 = 36
27 + 4 = 31
Might be nothing but it is interesting that you would add 4, 5, 6 to the line number to reach the same total as the one above.
The word count for each line is as follows:
9
9
7
7
The line "never to be seen" lead me down the dry hole of nano-tech research....wasted time....
Sent all this info to the Kuya team and apparently none of it was worth anything. Started counting unique letters in each line and thought better of it after 2 lines....I am starting to think we might be overlooking the obvious. Look how simple the first 'riddle' was...and how simple the websites for both teams are, it's possible that this game is being run by someone new to being a PM...thats the only thing I can come up with unless the GLARING spelling errors actually mean something. just my .02.
I know none of the info above helps....just hoping putting it out there will jar the noggin of someone far smarter than myself.
