I missed the ending of the other ARG, but Con08 was pretty cool Smile So I guess I'll be in this one, since I haven't been in an ARG for months.

Is it just me, or does one of those images look like the Freemason symbol? There is a whole bunch of conspiracies involving them.

So what do we know?

Awww... if it wasn't for that 4th rule there, I would have just sent in a picture of Skynet and be done with it XD

I suppose I can open up MSPaint and make one of my horrible stick figure comics for them later on when I'm not sleepy.

Strenght of Will Contest
#1: All Entries must be sent to EklipseglobalSPLATonline.de
#2: Deadline is August 11, 2008
#3: There are no rules on the actual content. "What is your vision of the future"? Express yourself on a video, with a drawing, a poem, an essay, a picture, a song. Whatever you want, originality is what we ask of you.
#4: All entries must be composed entirely of your own work.
Winners will receive a $35,000 USD grant and a trip to our TENOME research Laboratory in Japan. There they will meet the man that is making it all possible for us, Kuromori Toshi.
Many will enter, Four will win.
Viel Erfolg
The four winners of Last year's contest were:
Paul Ferdinand
Sofia Nadezhdina
Hernando Santamaria
Joanna Durbeyfield

And yes, "Strength" is mispelled on the sheet Razz

If this is for real, that is sooo awesome.
Edit: I mean the contest part. Obviously, the people and company are fake.

Well I had sent a contact us to them lastnight asking stating I was doing a paper on corporate research programs and asked if they had any information of whom to contact or the likes.

Nothing so far. Guess they are really selective on whom they respond to.

...and I just got a comment on my latest LJ blog entry showing this picture (from page 2 of this thread), posted by haguruma

the blog's first and only entry is japanese and says
Quote:
I hate this banner.

Hate the consumer society.
The other is my diary here: http://kuromoritoshio.blogspot.com/
But nobody knows who I think is not fun.

so it's obviously kuro moritoshio's LJ

Promising a prize of $35K is one hell of a bold step... Could get in to all loads of troubles with compliance, contest rules and insurance bonding by making it sound like a contest, even if it's not a real contest.

I got the email as well, to answer degravedi's question, it's from eklipseglobal[@]online.de

I filled out the contact form last night inquiring about the scholarship, other than that, I've done nothing with this ARG so that must be the trick.

Don't think that's the trick as I still haven't recieved anything from them, and it's been almost 12 hours sense I contacted them.

I filled out the contact info sheet all of an hour ago, and got the same email regarding the "contest".

Illy, my first thought on opening the mail was exactly what you spoilered.

If this is anything like the AethNA contest, some in game characters will win, thus negating any prize money etc. In fact, I'm betting that as soon as the contest page comes up we will get our look at some in game characters, as their entries will be up.
