[EMAIL] Jeremy Peters Pastor of Magnification

I just received a VERY strange E-mail that seems unrelated to the game, but has all the hallmarks of a clue, puzzle, whatever. Here it is:

Quote:

From: Jeremy Peters [jeremy.peters@saac.ab.ca]
To: seven_eppSPLATyahoo.com
CC: tim_xSPLAThotmail.com (my E-mail)
Subject: Scripture references

Hey Terry,
Can you please insert some Scripture passages into Sunday mornings powerpoint/media shout presentation?
Here's what I need (please include references):

INSERT immediately after first song (Meet with Me) Psalm 8:3-9
[3] When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
[4] what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?
[5] You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
and crowned him with glory and honor.

[6] You made him ruler over the works of your hands;
you put everything under his feet:

[9] O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

INSERT in Faithful One after second time through Psalm 89:1-2,5,8

I will sing of the Lord's great love forever;
with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.
[2] I will declare that your love stands firm forever,
that you established your faithfulness in heaven itself.

[5] The heavens praise your wonders, O Lord,
your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones.

[8] O Lord God Almighty, who is like you?
You are mighty, O Lord, and your faithfulness surrounds you.

Thanks so much for your help. Look forward to meeting you on Sunday.
Jeremy

Now, this is completely out of the blue. The only people I've E-mailed have been Info/Secrets@dreadhouse.com, charlesSPLATcambridgementalhospital.com, webmasterSPLATurbanmythology.net, and Reed Singleton [webmaster@deadpoems.com]. I've never E-mailed any of the TT staff, not even Ron.

Am I being Paranoid? Has anyone else received the same E-mail or one like it? Or is this an honest mistaken E-mail problem?

Oh yeah, I called the number at the bottom, and it went from a recording to a voice mail (once I punched in the extension).

I'll probably E-mail seven_eppSPLATyahoo.com, and jeremy.petersSPLATsaac.ab.ca back to try and dig for more info.

P.S. "seven_epp@yahoo.com" ?? Isn't there something on UrbanMythology about the importance of the number 7???

I just sent them this E-mail back, and have encoded a hidden message within.

At this point I'm hoping they're part of the game...otherwise they're in for some strange reading Laughing

Quote:

Good day,

Dear me, I think I may have received this E-mail in error. Right now I'm not aware of being subscribed to any type of spiritual newsletter. Even though having kind, and spiritual words sent to me via E-mail is comforting, I would still like to inquire as to how I got on this mailing list. Any clues? Do you keep these types of things on record, or is it configured automatically by your machine?

Ha ha, it's pretty funny, though, as of late I've been receiving some pretty strange E-mails. Of course, I'm not saying that your letter is strange. Unexpected yes, strange, not really. So, any information you can provide to me would be most helpful.

Eternally, and thankfully yours,

-Tim

I'm guessing an honest mistake.
That number, 780 458 5335 is really the number for St. Albert Alliance Church in St.Albert, AB (Alberta)

And I'd be surprised that someone could make a fake church appear at 6 separate "churches in edmonton" directories.

i'm a horrible human being

Here is the link to the church's Web site. It's supposedly a "mega church," very large with many activities. I did find Peter's name on a list of staff so I think this was just a mistake, but I would have been freaked out by it too (especially as an atheist!)

http://www.saac.ab.ca/

Fot those with no scruples or fear of damnation the site does have a log in seemingly protected by a password. Twisted Evil

How you choose to use this info is not of my concern....

If he writes you back, I would really love to see what he says.

That passage is just funny. I wouldn't be surprised to see him suggesting you look to the Church for guidance. Laughing
