[TRIVIA] Dana's home

I've only just come to the rather obvious conclusion that "Dana" is basically the PMs' real-time clue outlet, to help us stay on track with the puzzle. I expect everything she has ever said contains clues.

So I started going back through her old blogs and the first thing that cought my eye was this piece that you probably all remember:

Quote:
I went hiking in Claremont Canyon yesterday to clear my head. Three hours, six miles, and 1000 ft elevation change later, I was sweaty, sunburnt and still fixated on the bug and its countdown....

I don't know where Claremont Canyon is, but Dana's home is three miles and 500 vertical feet from it. I bet there aren't a whole lot of places like that...

... unless Dana travelled to a point relatively close to the canyon, parked her car (or got off the bus, I don't know what her transportation preference is), and went hiking from that point.

It doesn't say where she started.
