Very good advice! Two "meeting places" there: a café and a Parilla (restaurant where you eat asado)

But do you really think the ring could be in that places?

Another thing: Ariadne just twittered that Diego has a plan for us...

Yes. I mean, you'd better search for candidates widely.
And I think cafes, restaurants and hotels are promising.

Hm. May just be me, but there's got to be a reason TheO was messing around in the Esperanto Society way back when. I honestly believe that it's going to be there.

Another thing from way back that I was thinking about was the TheO agent you guys met when you were playing the lost sport with Diego. Maybe you'll see more of that Jorge guy?

WOW....
Mauro, i couldnt read your email before.
I can help, i can go to BA if is needed...
I've read the entire post in a fly, but i red something related to the medicine school, and now im reading specs about the location of the ring
(esperanto society). The esperanto society is a few blocks from the school of medicine -as you can see in the maps -(i've went to the place a few months ago to investigate... with no results).
Let me know if i can do something.

OK , Eli thinks the "Esperanto society" is a good suggestion:

Hi Eli,

thank you for your help.
After you mentioned "meeting place" I remembered this "Esperanto Society" in
BA, where Diego was (and where he thought he met you!).

This Society is in a the street "Paraguay 2357" and this is more or less
directly at the seed of the labyrinth. See the followin map and compare it
with the one I sent before.

What do you think? And have you been there during your trip to South
America?

His reply:

Eli Hunt wrote:

Ah, yes!

This is very promising. I know that members of the Esperanto Society
have been in contact with both agonothetai and counter-agonothetai of
years past.

Indeed, I have long believed that it was members of various chapters
of the Esperanto Society who first assisted the original six travelers
in translating and hiding the 27 chapters of the Lost Ring Codex. So
it would not surprise me if certain chapters are still actively
involved with the "game", as the opposition calls it.

However, if it so, then this recovery will be quite challenging. My
research in South America did indeed suggest that the Buenos Aires
chapter was on the "other side". Our retrievers will need a very, very
good plan.

Sincerely yours,

Eli Hunt

Seems like this pick up will be really difficult: We have to make a pick up in a Theo headquarter and proove that the ring transporter is a Theo member.

If Eli is right (and I assume he is Smile, the ring is at the seed = "Esperanto Society".

The "p" point is the esperanto society...
I've found this map at www.esperanto.org.ar

BTW, there is subway station at Paraguay and Aguero corner (Aguero station, subway D).

Assault?

This is getting exciting...
Diego's email to mauro, MaC and me:

¿Alguien sabe artes marciales?
Mi plan probablemente las necesite!

My plan probably needs them!

So... i think that Diego is thinking in something like an assault against a TheO location... (esperanto society maybe).

Don't forget that we aren't as certain about the password this time as we have been with the three previous rings. Even if we're correctly navigated around the suspected error, we still have two possible sporting events. So I think it might behoove us to have two TheO retrieval teams in place -- one armed with "pentathlon" and one with "wrestling" -- just in case.

Well... this is getting really exciting! We don't need to figure out the location or the password anymore. Look at this mail Diego sent to Team Argentina:

Quote:
James told me that neither Mauro or other Theo member will be able to take the ring. Not even himself would be able to take it.

This is my plan:
-This week we go to lernu.net and learn some phrases, words, etc. so we can go and tell them that we know a bit of Esperanto, that we love it and we want to learn more.
-We write to the Esperanto Society, saying that we want to take Esperanto classes (DON'T WRITE ANYTHING YET OR YOU COULD SPOIL ALL THE PLAAAAN)
-The site says that there are classes on Saturdays (very old), but maybe they still give lessons on Saturdays, if that's the case perhaps we could make labyrinth+ring all the same Saturday.
-We go to the society, we take the Esperanto class and at one moment we have to make that some of us distract the teacher/s so we can check the place in search of the ring.
-If we find the ring... run!!
-Once outside the society we split so they can't follow us, and we meet again at some meeting point.

And that's it... VICTORY.

Well, yes, I accept it, it's not THE plan, but it's what we have to do... recover it one way or another!!!

That seems like a big adventure. I hope you can run fast Smile

[UPDATE] Nevertheles, I think PENTATHLON is the correct password, since Eli didn't objected: (See here )

[2nd UPDATE] New mission for Thumos and Sophrosune:
Help Diego with a dangerous and complicated mission!

Just received this email from Diego. It's interesting in light of the [Meta] thread about Theo's ethics.

Hi Diego,

Thank you for your email, I've heard from some other people that there
was a chance the ring was in Buenos Aires.

I have made some inquiries and I fear that I am not even a high enough
ranking member to be a Transporter, therefore the un-initiates under
me such as Mauro will not be able to pass the authentication test
either...

I think we must be very careful with this ring... but at the end of
the day, we cannot let it slip through our fingers... do whatever you
need to do to intercept it.

-James

I'm Diego, you must know me

the fourth ring possibly is in Buenos Aires, but they say to me that
we need video from someone from Theo.

Mauro made uninitiation video, will he be able to pick up the ring if
it is really here??

If not, what do we need to do??

keep in touch

Diego
