Base 13 converter:

You can only use that converter a certain amount of times without signing up for an account with them. It is one of the only converters I've seen with a base 20 converter, though.

I've been using
http://unsyn.com/basen/

So far we've been led from one site to the next without ever really having a reason for that to happen. Sometimes we solve something and the current site changes, sometimes we don't and the current site changes. I'm having no luck with Mr. Black either...

I've been thinking the same thing...it feels like this is moving along so quickly that we don't have time to solve one thing before we're confronted with two more Bang Head

Oh, and as far as converters go- this one allows you to enter a number in one field, and then simultaneously displays all conversions up through base-36 (with no use limit): Numbers Converter. That site is also great resource for doing many other types of conversions.

Is that timer set to like 5 days by hours or am I an idiot?

It's counting down to Tuesday, 5 p.m. eastern, 2 p.m. pacific

I shot off an e-mail, and got this:

Quote:
42 hours will pass quickly. What can I do in that time to ensure I'll be able to wake him?

-------------------------
Instruction simple.
42 Hours.
Speak unto me.
Ask anything.

It begins.

So... fire away.

I already sent back "Unto me". Have you tried "Anything?"

Bingo. Maybe. Or I'm being called a smartass. Response time was two minutes.

What smart anomolies I have before me.

Prove you can think in literal context.

I sent "Cogito, ergo sum" back to this one

To which I received

To which I respond:

sum, ergo Cogito

I am, therefore I think

and get

Edit: In retrospect, this is a word game. What we need is "proof of thought". I'm looking up the philosophy of math right now

Edit II: Or, since other people are getting responses now, I *was* being called a smartass Wink

Ok, I got a response:

13 wrote:
Q: Who is Samuel Black?

A: Black is a ghost in the machine in the most literal of context.

Q: There is speculation that the USS Constitution is a location of some
significance. Can you confirm this?

A: The place you call Boston is not in scope anymore, proceed forward.

Q: Is there any particular cipher that may assist me in decoding the text
on you page?

A:The text is advanced beyond your forward years. Do not wrap your mind around such complicated mathematics.

You have twenty five hours.

So: The conference is over, ending the Boston connection... and we're not supposed to be working on what looks like a number puzzle?

Once everyone posts the answers they got, we may know which direction to head in our questioning...

Response:

The ghost in the machine found you.

Creepy

Samuel Black Church in West Virginia has a "ghost" connection...

It has a marker memorializing the "Greenbrier Ghost", a young girl who was killed and then came back as a ghost to tell her mother how she was murdered. It turned out to be true and led to a conviction.

Yes, creepy indeed.

Follow the leader, of course.

Find the new scope. Your 42 hours are almost up.

True yes, but then... the video said they were going to set the world on fire, and asked us to join their cause. It seemed like a good question at the time.

I think the relevant part here is "the text is advanced... forwards." Which would indicate a ROT to me - anyone translate it from Base 13 to 10, and then ROT 13 it?

And a new response to me:

Quote:

> Since I can ask you anything, tell me about the Greenbriar Ghost.
>
> What does Samuel seek? Knowledge? Retribution? To inform?

Samuel is/was my messenger, nothing more, nothing less.

I'm glad someone else was thinking of the video. We haven't really been discussing it here.

This is what I got in response:

13 wrote:
Q:Who is Stephen Parker?

A: Steven Parker is a warden, in all aspects of the position.

Q: What is Sky Incorporated?

A: Sky Incorporated is the prison.

Q: What are the children being injected with?

A: Death

Q: What are the 13 lights?

A. The beginning and the end, eros as well as thanatos.

My thoughts exactly. Anyone get a look at a name tag?

Mine too, what with the video talking about "meeting with him", and the responses that he found us, and was just a messenger.

Also... haven't seen this mentioned yet... in the video, at about the 1:30 mark (during the static), several bits of text are displayed: "Birth By Sleep", "New Age", "Fire In The Sky" , and "John" .

edit: previously mentioned Dunce
