Man, this seriously bums me out. I guess the earliest we can have an ARGFest Florida is 2010. LAME! I would personally like to say i've been to Portland and it's beautiful country. And secondly I would like to complain that me and several others were rooting for florida! (me, Nighthawk, Lostgunslinger, Lunsford, Dontpanic42, just to name a few )
Good luck to everyone going to ARGFest 2009. I wont be able to attend that either, c'mon Pro-Florida ARGFest supporters, lets go start a counter-campaign! (even though its already official!)

I think I should start the First Annual "ARGFest Is Too Damn Far" Convention , sponsored in part by Darklight Interactive and the State of Florida Chamber of Commerce.

I'm with ya there 100%. Maybe 2 ARGFests a year would be better!

yeah, and if i had the money to do that, I would have the money for a ton more things. i have a wife. so, no sharing a room and that also means double the price for tickets, and food, etc. Not to mention, she would never wanna spend all that money for an event she isnt interested in, knows anyone at, or about a genre she only barely grasps...

Lots of us leave our spouses home if they don't want to come.

Well, Portland sounds better to me than Florida (sorry Night) for two main reasons. 1. Hawaiian flies to Portland, so assuming they're still in existence a year from now I'd actually get a bit of legroom and a meal AND support a local business. Second, from the weird Portland site:

A 24 hour doughnut shop and wedding chapel.
which sounds a bit dangerous... Carb overload and alcohol fueled stupidity...Let's get married!
I could probably even meet up with some old friends that live in the area...
But if we're gonna talk strip clubs, I gotta say you still want Honolulu. All that plus a fairly laissez faire attitude towards 'victimless' crimes. At least in the Waikiki area.

I'm up for donuts (especially for maple-bacon bars or little voodoo guys with pretzel stickpins), but polygamy? Eh, not so much.

I've never had the maple-bacon bar, heard a lot about it, but I've heard more about the, how do I put this, the "c & b" pastry. BrianEnigma you could always redo the vows.

We could have an ARGFest mass annulment the next morning. With more donuts.

As the uF dietitian, I should remind you that the donuts aren't as much of a carb-fest, but also trans-fat fest. But I wouldn't want to rain on the parade of maple bacon donuts. Cause we really have to figure out once and for all: Stroopwaffles vs Maple Bacon Donuts!!!!

We'd need a maple bacon bar icon in order to have them compete digitally.
I had lots of fun holding my stroopwafel and saying, "I am making a post on Unfiction!" and then dancing the stroopwafel in a straight line from left to right.

Down with bi-partisan politics! For the independent voter, I nominate chocolate-coated crispy bacon strips sprinkled with crushed almonds , as seen on the Food Network's Dinner Impossible (new season with Michael Symon, sneak peek was ARGfest weekend).
