 		[MISSION] Omphalabyrinthoi boreales - go north!
Following Ariadne's urgent message, I've tried to sketch some rough labyrinth designs for our friends in the north:

Umeå

Thomas Bookmore, you're too kind! I simply can't help it, I love looking for possible paths for large-scale labyrinths. It's a game I keep challenging myself with, since it seems impossible to do a real Olympic labyrinth in Munich ...

 		I've already posted this in the Nuremberg omphalabyrinth thread, but I guess it's important enough to be mentioned here as well.

Eli made an interesting remark in his mail regarding my labyrinth plans for Nuremberg:

The Nuremberg labyrinth's center would be at 49.45° northern latitude, 11.07° eastern longitude ... If I understand Eli correctly, we'd need someone at a similar latitude on the opposite side of the planet to do a labyrinth as well!

Not directly from Umeå, but at least from a Norwegian researcher who worked there for several months this year. She promised to forward my message to some people who might be able to help, and even suggested some other persons whom to contact.

 		I have a friend in Oslo who's willing to help.. I know that's not one of the key cities.. but we if we get a trackstick up there we could definitely make that work!

Hello Rembrant_chi!

There may be just enough time - if you get your friend to email kaitownSPLATgmail.com (SPLAT=@) immediately, say they'd like to do a labyrinth in Oslo and ask if there is time to get a trackstick on the way, we may all be in luck.

While it's in transit we can get a workable design together, and hopefully your friend might be able to get out and walk/bike/drive it before the 8th of August!

 		Agree - tell your friend to order a trackstick immediately-asap-NOW! The most important thing now is TIME.

Edit:
Oslo is a tricky city for omphalabyrinths. Hard to find an area with a suitable street pattern even for a three-circuit labyrinth, provided one doesn't want the labyrinth to become too big. How about these?

Oh my, you're right...Pretty sneaky. Maybe try with less angular corridors ? Neither of the labyrinths you came up with so far have very equal circuits either, Eli might turn them down.
