Calling NJ/NY/PA/DE people
Now that ARGFEST 08 is over....

It was amazing how many people are very local to me at argfest this year. After speaking to a lot fo you, a thought was brought up a lot - we should get together for something again before the summer is totally out.

There have been some suggestions, thw ones I liked the best were as follows:
1 & 2}Picnic lunch in a park someplace {with both pot luck and paper bag being two seperate options}

3} Camping trip in the south nj pine barrens {with a semi-tour of the Ong's Hat area being an optional thing for those who played or were interested in Chasing the wish 1 and/or 2} {{semi-plus would be if we go to a camp ground rather than state park, we can have alchohol!}}

Now, i favor those because it means major socializing time, which is lets face it the point. Some other suggestions that wouldn't really be a get together so much as a take over and seperation are

1} Hershey Park **OR** Dorney park & Wild Water Kingdom weekend
2} Just a huge ass bbq at someone's house {yet no volunteers lol}
3} Tour of historic Philly
4} Some sort of live gameish event, such as a come out and play or labyrinth type thing as examples.

So here I am, I'm calling you out. You wanted to get together, lets brain storm. Between now and le's say the beginning of October, what are good times for you, and what do you want to do? Yes, I'll organize it, but I'd like some input.

I'm happy so many people did want to get together this summer!!!

I've got a little under a month in this fine region before I'm back out (Mid)West, and I'd definitely be "game" for one of the above.

I'm good with any of the suggestions, but I do work some weekends so planning a date might make folks want to strangle me more than usual. But personally, I really like the camping trip idea. Sadly, I don't get out of work on weekdays til 7pm, but I'm pretty sure I can get a ride to wherever it'll be.

If a weekend major event isn't possible though, the other stuff sounds cool too. So if you guys don't mind being crammed into a rather small house in Philly for a BBQ, I'll be the (dun dun dunnnn) volunteer. Just be warned, the grill is small so you might have to wait quite a bit! Smile

Philadelphia Event Proposal - "As You Like It" at Clark Park

Event proposal: this Saturday at Clark Park in Philadelphia (43rd and Baltimore) they're putting on a free, open-air presentation of Shakespeare's "As You Like It" starting at 7pm.

Shakespeare in Clark Park website.

It looks fun, it's in Philly, and best of all, it's FREE! Any takers?

I MAY be downtown already at that time. I'm goign in the afternoon to see Wall-E with some friends... depending on when we break up I'll find my way over there from 30th street station. Maybe.

Dont count on me though... generally Im gonna need, liek a weeks notice for stuff.

Yeah, sorry about the late warning thing -- just found out about this while perusing Metro on the PATCO.

Gosh I love the PATCO.

I'm not available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next week since I'm moving stuff to the Cleve: because of the preparations necessary for that, Monday would also be fairly difficult.

Other than that, I'm ridiculously free as I just finished my last day of interning.

And yeah, haven't been in Voorhees long -- the folks moved in while I was away.
