i have a good cameraphone and a great video camera, and im married, so i can get the lady blowing out the candle no problem, dibbies!

Ok, now that I am now thinking clearly I can almost certain find an oak tree around here somewhere and collect some bark.

I also should be able to record myself reciting the incantation.. I just have to download Audacity and go get a mic for my lappy. I make my first tips on Friday so I can do that then

EDIT: found several parks near my apt via google. Oak tree sure to be there.

EDIT EDIT: Visited the local park and couldnt find an oak tree (what I THOUGHT I found wasn't an oak), but I did find one at the edge of someones yard... I'll be heading down there tonight.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: Stealth mission successful. Video and photos taken. Oak bark acquired and I wasn't seen (at least not until we'd resumed "leisurely stroll on sidewalk" mode). Let me know where to post it all or if I should just send it direct to Surry.

I can find a spray of pine - there are Ponderosa pines all over campus.

I shall do so tomorrow, and bring camera.

Also, I can record the incantation right now, as I already have Audacity and a mic. Should be up in a bit!

EDIT: I have the incantation recorded and ready for editing. I didn't do noise removal or anything, and I have it saved as an .ogg.

Where should I put it?

I would suggest putting all copies of photos, video, and audio files right here in this thread. That way our organizers, Michael aka notgordian, can merge the audio recordings with audacity, assemble the photos/video and the audio into a zip or something and send it off to Surry. Those who will be perfoming live during the incantation will, of course, have to wait.

I will be putting the video and photos of my bark hunt up tonight when I get back from work and am in possession of batteries... *kicks his camera*

EDIT: Photo up. Video of the gathering is 22 MBs so I didnt want to upload it directly to UF. Its processing on Youtube as we speak

EDIT EDIT: Here's the video. Sorry you can;t see much. Towards then end my roommate finally thinks to move in closer so you can see a bit. We didn't bring a flashlight because we were afraid of drawing attention.

I made my red string video this morning and put it on YouTube. It's processing now. I've never uploaded a video to YouTube before so I'm not sure how long that will take. When it's done I will post the link here and email it to Mike as well.

Girly Self Conscious Disclaimer: I look awful cause I just woke up and I'm from Texas so y'all don't laugh at my accent! haha

Doublepost to add the audio -- recorded using Audacity, exported as an mp3 using the Lame encoding (just search for the .dll file if you haven't done this before).
