Simultaneously Webcasting the Multiverse Olympics...
Can we manage six simultaneous webcasts?

I had a quick chat on Facebook with James (I keep forgetting they disappear once you close the window), during which he asked if I could investigate the possibility of doing a simultaneous webcast of all six racing teams on the 24th of August.

We used seero.com to webcast quite successfully on our own - would this simply be a matter of embedding all six feeds into one webpage and ensuring each race venue had wifi and the appropriate computer/camera equipment?

Would a domestic broadband connection cope with streaming six different webcasts at the same time? I'm a bit new to the whole live streaming thing...

Just wanting to open up a discussion about it - with the aim to do some testing of possible solutions soon. Very Happy

Double post to follow this up...

Who else here is signed up to Seero and has a webcam at home?

I'm hoping to do a test with embedding multiple feeds on a single webpage this weekend, if anyone is able to help out from their end of the world. Very Happy

Hey J, if we can run the finals from the quad, we should be able to use my WiFi login, so it shouldn't be a problem! One of us can bring laptop+webcam. We can definitely test the set up next time we run up there, if we're allowed!

Brilliant! That's totally perfect starlajo. Very Happy

Here's hoping our application is accepted. Otherwise, we can go with Queen's Wharf and CafeNet.

I'm not signed in to Seero but I have a webcam, so I could help you this weekend with your test run.
