okay, i have my eye posted, and this is what the first bit of the phone call says:

Is this a dagger which I see before me,
The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee.

(that is from Macbeth) The full section is this:

Is this a dagger which I see before me,
The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee.
I have thee not, and yet I see thee still.
Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible
To feeling as to sight?
(Macbeth, 2.1.41-5)

But the guy doesn't get that far, he gets distracted with the word CLUTCH. He stops after the first two lines, then starts saying "such a brilliant word.. CLUTCH. CLUTCH. I love saying it. CLUTCH. "

I am paraphrasing the last bit, but that's the main point of it. If someone else wants to try to transcribe it even more literally, go for it!

yay argfest.

i dunno if this has been posted yet (trout me if you must):

"Lovers' Eyes" refer to the type of miniatures we've seen in the Smithsonian. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/roadshow/tips/loverseyes.html
I still don't think that's the meaning of this whole thing.. trying to find a connection between shakespeare and the miniatures

EDIT: got it:

Sonnet 55 (by William Shakespeare)

Not marble, nor the gilded monuments
Of princes, shall outlive this powerful rhyme;
But you shall shine more bright in these contents
Than unswept stone besmear'd with sluttish time.
When wasteful war shall statues overturn,
And broils root out the work of masonry,
Nor Mars his sword nor war's quick fire shall burn
The living record of your memory.
'Gainst death and all-oblivious enmity
Shall you pace forth; your praise shall still find room
Even in the eyes of all posterity
That wear this world out to the ending doom.
So, till the judgment that yourself arise,
You live in this, and dwell in lover's eyes.

i gotta say, at this point the eye pics and incantation seem like a diversion. The eye pics just link back to the idea of the eye minis, and the incantation is just to give the shakespeare reference. any other specs?

just a note - probably unimportant, but the spacing is logical. all consonants are paired, all vowels are separate

Actually, that's not true... the "os" in Ghosts is still together, as is the "of" in the word OF.
