Well it's not a direct continuation, but in another interview Matt Reeves said that it will most likely still involve the main characters from Cloverfield.

I wonder when they'll start viral marketing this one, because you know they will.

This is the first time in months that I've felt the need to post anything. What I'm wonderin now is if they're just gonna keep addin to the viral that was already started or just start fresh. Personally, I'd still like to know what significance the symbol and number on the back of the Missing Teddy Hanssen picture hold. And I know it bugs a lot more people than me. And what about his sister? and Tagruato? and Jamie for that matter. What happened to that dumb bitch? I assume she's dead, but hell ya never know. I would hope that they would just keep goin with what they got and just continue to add upon it. But they might have something different in mind. And one more thing. I remember a long time ago, Spacebass mentioned somethin about there was supposed to be a Q
& A session with the puppetmasters of the viral after it was all over. So what ever happened?

Oh yeah I believe JJ Abrams when he says that they are "Playing with something, that is not exactly a sequel". But when cunts like IO9 leave [it may or may not happen] out of the interview, I get pissed off. Because that is what JJ said, they are playing with it and its not sure if it will happen.
