Oh Das is just making a comment on the collection of cybernetic weaponry, such as heat rays, stun guns and death beams I keep in my secret laboratory.

Not the exercise program I tried doing before to become BUFF!!!! ...which I failed to continue after 1 month, and thus became all lazy/fat *eats a burger*

Also: giving up on the destegging for tonight, if there was anything to desteg in that pic. Plus I got sucky sucky work in the morning Sad /wrist

p.s. Pic changin' pals -- YEAH!!! *high fives*

My daughter unplugged all my network cables and I had a hell of a time refiguring the configuring conflagaration since I didn't set it up to begin with. Anyhow, good job Wittious! Good job Sniper! And this stuff get's a little easier as time goes Akshun. When this goes live if their is stuff to do in Dallas area, who all is in? Me, Sniper, Das?

I'd love to see another one of your vids Zap. They are masterfully well done. As are Kork's.

Dallas is doable for me. However, if I come there a trip to Trinity Hall is a must. No arguing!

CM told me to tell everyone that he is going to resubmit the digg to see if he can get more hits so he can be on the front page. So anyway, I guess he wants us to redigg it and shit. So it goes...

Das Llama

thanks much Das, I was trying to anagram the word into either
    1 a sentence in English
    2 a proper name
but most sentences in the english language have an"E" or a "T" and there was a lot of "A"s. I was just sitting there looking at the letters all scrambled up and I thought that I saw the word sudoku, (which of course was wrong) but I had one of those moments where one thing connects to the other and I actually kind of worked it backward; on my mailing list we have, over the years, discussed the J-horror films and I recalled a conversation with a member who liked Samara for a baby name, so I went to a wiki for "The Ring" thinking Samara was going to fit the acronym. When it didn't I decided to check the other names from The Ring 0: Birthday and there in the first sentence of the wiki was the name Sadako Yamamura, when I saw the "Almost Sudoku" I was sure it was going to fit even before I worked it out. So there isn't anything really helpful to the rest of you in the process I used to figure it out, unless you want to borrow my frantic, wandering mind and have it shipped to you over night U.P.S
It is kind of funny, I left the computer last night trying to figure out how to convince you all that was the right profile, (in the event that there was no immediate response from the CM) and I get here and there are 5 pages in the topic! I always miss the action.

Awww crap, I had just posted stuff on the digg comments on CM's first vid Sad

Here's what I did:

1) First comment, said "Hey guys, puzzle solved by (insert name for credit here)! I'm going to post the answers on the next comment and put it under threshold!"

2) Make 2nd comment with answers, give it a -1 digg score to put it under "threshold" and hide the answer.

I don't know how digg really works...after 5 minutes you can't delete what you've posted and it's already been 6 minutes since I've posted the solution. To put things under threshold it must have at least a rating of -1 or more. Maybe it takes a bit for the system to update or a few more votes, but I've already tried negative voting the solution comment with another account and it seems to not be working?

I dunno, maybe I should kindly ask the CM to delete it?

*nervously twiddles thumbs*

oops I did the same thing before I read this far into the UF forums. So my answer is up in the comments for the first solve. Sorry,
Juli

I am starting to rethink this .... I want to see more people playing but to me, Digg dosent seem to have an intuitive flow of information. I have never used it and am not used to it so whatever ... No one else seems to be posting anything .. so I guess we should try to help things along .

I dont know what do y'all think.

I think we should pull the old e-mails and ask everybody to rejoin us here and hopefully for them to sign up to Digg and Rate/Digg the CMs stuff.

I want to see this get bigger, but how much can/should we do to facilitate it ?

I suggested earlier that perhaps we should do a mass email campaign to players who have gone inactive to do exactly what you suggested. I know that some of you have an email list because I received an email when I was gone a while, asking if I had gotten an email from Sam with a Letter in it that was needed to solve a previous clue. Is it possible to do that again? I would be willing to take part of the list of addresses, and start contacting folks. I hope that helps.
Juli

EDIT
I have a little bit of a concern, that if we do this and the CM drops off the face of the earth for another long stretch, that those people we contact may get fed up to the point that there is no way to bring them back, should we need them for the end game.

I have an idea about how to get more diggs for the cm. Start adding as many friends to your digg as you can. Go to the main page and click on the usernames for people who submitted those stories, add them as a friend, then go to their friends list and you can add a lot of people at once. I'll post more later but anyone who wants to help can start adding friends now.

Once you submit a digg story you have 24 hours to get diggs. If you pass 24 hours, you wont get on the front page.

Here are the Digg Categories:

* Technology

* World & Business

* Science

* Gaming

* Lifestyle

* Entertainment

* Sports

* Offbeat

We need someone to focus on each category. Who volunteers for what?

1. Add as many people as you can who are submitting articles in your section, then start adding their friends because that is way faster.
2. Once you get a message that you have been adding friends too fast, start digging your friends.

3. Go to "Friend's activity" then "Submissions" and digg every one on the list. To make it go faster open each digg in a new tab then you can go back to the list when you're done.

4. Once you digg about 10-20 you can add more friends again.

Important digg info:

If you have a LOT of friends (50-100 or more) you will need 2X or 3X as many diggs as a new user, to reach the frontpage. This means we need to have a lot of friends to spread the story, but the CM needs to get rid of most of his friends because he is submitting the story.

He needs to submit the story in the morning, like 8-9am eastern. That is the best time of day to get diggs. Then once he submits it, we need to send shouts to ALL of our friends asking them to digg the article. I read that saying things like this is effective:

"If you could Digg This Horror Story/Online Game [b]for a friend
I would appreciate it. Keep Shouting Stories To Me! "

That shows you are digging their stores, and the friend thing makes you look selfless (which you are of course).

Everyone should also post a profile picture (like of Sue or something that will catch people's attention). And add a link to your profile to this board, and explaining ARGS because these are things the CM can't do himself because it's oog.
