I don't think it's in-game, but the broken english is quite amusing in spots Wink

If it *is* in-game, there is a seven digit number playing in the background when you click something

I just assumed 'SkySet' to be the future equivalent of 'cell phone'.

I've also called and left Sky Inc. a message, but haven't heard back. I said I was a reporter looking to interview Mr. Parker regarding the slanderous accusations against his company.

Who else has called, what have you said, and have you heard back?

I think that we have three threads in front of us:

* Getting info from the phone calls.

* Figuring out what 21452420 means.

* Finding someone willing to go to Pasadena on Sunday

I can leave my number for the call, but it's going to have to go to voice mail 90% of the time during weekdays. I'm going to do so today, and hopefully I'll get something useful from it.

I've gotten absolutely nowhere with the eight digit number.

I grew up in So Cal, so I have friends I can tap who might be willing to go out there for me, but I'd really prefer not to - I'd be calling in quite a favor, because my friends are either going to be home asleep or doing various and sundry activities of their own. Do we have *any* resources to help with this?

I don't know if it matters, but in the video, the girl said "...something something since year zero" which rang a bell, but I couldn't place it.

I googled it finally, and it may just be a nod to another ARG, Year Zero (the NIN one?) but I thought I'd mention it.

I think this was seem by the more experienced ARGers here as a tip-o-the-hat to other projects, and not something that should be considered canon for this effort.

there's a new countdown to "ASK" on http://13lights.org/ . roughly 1 day 18 hours as of now. Send the emails to 13SPLAT13lights.org once again.

with roughly 4 days 3 hours left as a link to a map. At least i think it does since the link doesn't work yet.

EDIT:
ASK time counts down to 8:30 AM, August 1 (eastern)

Map time counts down to 5:00 PM August 3 (eastern)

Also a new note appeared.

The map is still Pasadena, the link seemed to be broken.

I just left a message on the Sky number as well Wink

Edit: I'll update the wiki after this next set of questions is answered.

Did anyone else get this e-mail from 13 this morning?

The scope is almost in range. Bring your best and most brilliant.

Regarding today's updates:

I figured we'd get another Q&A before Sunday. To make sure we aren't running around completely blind... or to make sure we actually run around at all Smile I'll be firing off questions all evening.

It looks like our target time for Pasadena is now 2:00 P.M. pacific. Much more reasonable. I'm still up for the drive (less than 2 hours), especially since we now have a chance to clear up the San Fran thing. (Though I'd hardly presume to call myself "your best and most brilliant"...)

It'd be great if we could get a few people there... I imagine there will be another scavenger hunt, so the more puzzle-solvers the better. If not, maybe the feet on the ground can keep in contact with the online brain trust.

Oh, and thank you stratagos for your work on the wiki. Much appreciated!

edit: I'm going to start a new thread for this Q&A session, to keep things better organized. Please head over there with your responses!

Not I, but you're a lot more local.

I can send out a message to my friends in So Cal to see if anyone wants to join in the festivities. Not all of them will be gamers, of course, but I assume anyone who answers the call to arms will be helpful on some level...

Hey, that reminds me! I have a friend that will be in LA this weekend. Maybe he will be up for a little trip to scope it out. I'll call him tonight.

I'm in the greater LA area... so I may be able to go. However I just moved two days ago and RL may interfere.

Hey I just got a call from an "Anar" warning me not to call that number anymore (I assume its this game because as far as I know its the only game I've called a number to) she seemed very worried about repercussions to having the number out.

There's a new point on the map. Point is located at Merritt Island, FL. Description is "In scope. Don't you think you'll love the millions of books inside?" We got anyone down near there?
