I just thought of something...maybe Clover is Moorwen's girlfriend, and she's really pissed off that he's gone on an intergalactic vacation without her (in fact, as she's often known to say, he never takes her anywhere)...Clover then got on her own ship and chased him to earth, arriving a mere 1300 years later, and tore apart New York, and, presumably, every other city on earth, in search of him
