we should tell them to check rachels body for anything unusual in the way of possible clues.

we need to focus on that cipher - lets try to get some more people on that.

also, there are multiple rooms with the same letter I believe this is indicative of the fact that a key pass will open door E another door S another F etc etc

third they will probably start to act paranoid and kill someone during the day. perhaps more clues lie ahead? Getting them to explore the rooms would most likely be very helpful as well.

I think I figured out most of the first floor:
http://bp3.blogger.com/_6KULTdClJaY/SJYmX1Q4kZI/AAAAAAAAAAM/3IUqkQkOZlk/s1600-h/fmap.PNG[/img]

First floor:
S- Staircase
F- Foyer
C- Closet
Bd- Bedroom
Ba- Bathroom
E-(no idea as of yet, I'll edit when we figure it out)

Second floor:
S- Staircase
P-Pantry
E-(no idea as of yet, I'll edit when we figure it out)

Opinions?

I thought E was entrance.
P could be pantry...I can't think of anything else that it could be for.

I doubt E is entrance, as that means Floor 2 has 2 of them, meaning it's underground, or one of those complex garage roof entrance things.

P, however, is most likely pantry(twas on the tip of my tongue). I'll put that in.

Yay, I was useful!

Anyways, they said the "game" usually takes place in isolated places, such as a mental ward in an abandoned hospital, a locked basement, and a warehouse.

This seems like a house, but if there are 2 entrances on the second floor, It would be quite expensive, and I doubt it would be abandoned and isolated. Maybe E is exit on the second floor and entrance on the first? And the 2 places are balconies for you to try to jump off of?

E - Easement, elevator, engineroom, entrepot, epicentre (phil?), escape, eyehole...

So much for the dictionary.

Yeah, i don't think ANY of these are things you'd find in an abandoned house.

Easement - An easement is the right or freedom to do something or the right to prevent someone else from doing something over the real property of another. (Not even a type of room.)
elevator - Oh come on, nobody would have an elevator in their home unless they were Paris Hilton or Gluttony from Se7en.
Engine Room - Does this place NEED an engine room?
Entrepot - An entrepôt (from the French "warehouse") is a trading post where merchandise can be imported and exported without paying import duties, often at a profit. (Maybe a description for the entire place, but....come on.)
Epicenter - The center point above ground for a hurricane or earthquake.
Escape Yeahh......about that.
Eyehole - What is this, a pirate ship?

The dictionary has officially become useless in ARG's.

True that a dictionary can be useless, but they were the only terms moderately connected to architecture apart from epicentre which was based on a more philosophical approach alike 'eyehole'; looking in - looking out, although it can also have a technical distinction based on the 'security building' part I read several pages back. The same can be said of 'engine room'...

Nevertheless, quite hard to distiguish the rooms if you don't know the original architecture/buidling; warehouse, nuttcage, underground etc.

i'm still thinking the bottom level's E is entrance, and the top one that sticks out is the only exit - a high balcony. the other E could be just an extension of teh lower E, if it has a really high ceiling

EDIT: Greg, great guesses. a new blog post confirms some of them.

also, we can be relatively sure that it's a hospital. the closet had medical suplies and a cadaver on an operating table., sooo... the exit on the roof is for a helicopter!!

W00t!

Now to the task at hand. We need to figure out the punchpad number, which most likely leads to the pantry. the cypher, combined with the word "kills" could very well be the way to get it.

problem: we don't have the answer to the cipher.

I'm working on it.. I think the keypad number might be the ROT number as well, which makes it a two-digit number, narrowing down the possibilities. also, it might not be a ROT at all

It might be an IRC chat.

Whoever's at the comp says there's a # next to the Kill. However, if it's the other way around (Kills#), then 1 is the punch pad number, as the number of kills so far, unless we count the dead bodies too, in which case 4.

it's a two-digit number, so I think your suggestion on the blog comments is more likely

Well, I'm assuming that this building has been used for a previous werewolf game. And in that case, there were 6 deaths. Or 5 if one of them was the werewolf. Would the cipher be ROT-6, then vignere it with kills as the password? [EDIT: nope]

[EDIT AGAIN: the sum of the letter/number coorelation of the word "Kills" happens to be a 2 digit number: 62]
