(Spec)Coordinates are a Word Game Solution

Made a seperate thread for those that are coming around to the belief that the coordinates are a word game.

I'm really starting to believe that the actual physical sites don't matter. I think it's some type of code, or maybe anagrams from the city names.

Whatever it is, here's the thread to speculate and work through it.

While I'm buying more and more into vpisteve's "the locations are important physically on the 24th" theory, I also think the runner-up is this theory, that words play a part. The only thing I can contribute is also on the wiki, but the Bensenville, IL location's primary word was "Manny's". The building took up the entire corner of George Street and York Road where the coordinate took place. It's a banquet hall/ballroom for weddings, etc... that's about all that was notable. There was a Marathon station across the street, but while a coincidence, I don't find value in this, since it wasn't where the coordinates lay, but across the street. Also, there was the "White Pines" Golf course across the street on the other side of the corner. Again, these are relatively close, but really not on the site, so if there's a word to point out, it's "Manny's".

Also, the Sears tower was another Chicago location. The coordinates are dead smack on the entrance to the Sears Tower. Again, what that could mean is anything, not to mention there are at least 20 businesses located within the Sears Tower, and therefore this name game could be extended to any of those locations, I'm sure. So while that gives us more options than "Sears Tower", it also lowers the value of this type of puzzle as well... Anyway, that's my 2 cents, plus tax.

Yeah I agree

Yeah I pretty much agree. I think it's like the links puzzle, but slightly different

Check out my earlier post: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=55328#55328

I think it has something to do with the places named. They tend to have odd similiarities: eg "tree names", "names that refer to kings", "gods", "two people's names", "spots in the middle of nowhere", "chain stores", "names that end in 'toria'". I think if we work real hard and get clear on what's exactly at each point, they'll end up forming groups of some kind.

Wouldn't this belong in the Axons: Numerical thread? I mean, sure, words instead of numbers, but same deal-- the numbers would represent words.

(EDIT:) Ah, I get it-- sorry, didn't read the initial post closely enough. Interesting idea.

I'd say that, if we are attempting to place this thread in one of the "Big Three", it'd be Relative. If there was a direct, or cryptographic correspondense between the words, then it'd be numerical. Since it seems to depend on the names of things nearby, i.e. actual knowledge of the location, it'd be Axons:Relative.

On the other hand, the doctrine of the Big Three seems to be fading. So who knows?

Just to actually contribute something to this thread, the cities near the coordinate I am investigating is Burkmere and Faulkton. The nearest highway is US 212. And the nearest river is Volgeler Draw. Any of those sound like interesting names?

Thank you,

Luke P.

edit- Oh yeah, the coordinate is a few hundred feet away from a street named 348th Avenue. That important?
