No idea what book this is.

Is it possible these are book call numbers?
Maybe the Sphinx is a publisher's logo?

I was thinking it was a publishers logo or something too .....

Ok, I asked in the office for others to find me a book in the same genera as the other books. And they came up with H.G. Wells Time Machine in which there is something to do with a sphinx (might be worth looking to cause it was a portal or something to the underground, ima not know)

Anyway pg 42, line 1, word 1 is white, 4 th letter is T <---- that means its CAT

Hate to trout everyone but and I wont cause I dont wanna look it up. I knew it all had to do with these stinking cats ! HAH cat again !!!

Ok yea, um sorry there ..... um there are many posibilities but maybes the CM will confirm "Find Cat" Yea and how do we find his fricken cat ? Comb the streets of LA .... crap we dont even know its name. Then again I am assuming it is a cat cat and not some girl named cat. Maybe the cat is dead too are there are cat cemitaries or something?

Poster- Gabriel, angel, "place he began"...seems like it's referring to archangels and perhaps heaven.

I'm printing out the puzzle now to see if I can get it.

edit: it's a map of
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
chicago near the loyola campus.

I have all the pieces cut out. Gashed my finger-- if I wasn't on Eric's side before, I am now Wink

Added text says: On a bulletin board in Loyola law school basement, On a post, on a support beam in the park.

I should have the whole thing soonish.

ORRRR maybe not. It looks like there is more than one map here. I found a piece that says UCLA. I;m at a loss.

Holy Carp !! You found him ! That was easier than i thought it would be !
Duh ... I wasn't even thinking of the next step.....

I skipped wikipedia jab. I should have .... didnt I say the CM was using it for material. Well at least we have confirmed many things there. Guess its the same either way. I'll give Alison (from the office) credit on the Time Machine thing. I went straight to the online book.

Time for cut and paste ! What fun !

In A Park? I have been geocaching with exact coordinates and it's still hard finding things. This is very vague.

Do we have anyone in these areas? Shocked

I sure wish i could go to those areas... I'm too far away with a wife and children though!

If we don't know anyone in those areas, do we need to recruit some more people to join the hunt for the CM?

PS- awesome cut/paste job!

I have friends that go to school in Chicago, but they're probably home in St. Louis now. I'll check with them, though.

I thought we did have someone in LA. Maybe mytwojuneboys?

The Williamsburg Bridge is in New York City and crosses the East River, connecting Manhattan to Brooklyn. Do we know of anyone in NYC?

I was talking to a guy in the uf chatroom who lives in NYC and he said he would go either Friday or Saturday. I'm hoping I hear back from the CM before then because I would like to have a better idea of where it is. I feel bad asking people to hunt for something without telling them where to really go.

That would be me Smile

I have a pretty good idea where it might be (http://tinyurl.com/5dad5o), but if I can't find it, no worries, then at least I'll get to see a part of Manhattan that I don't know very well.

If I have time after work today I'll head down there by subway, if not I'll drive down there tomorrow.
