I tried poking around the site as well. There is nothing I could see that would lead to this specific url from the normal front door of the website.

Um, the previous email had http://www.dharmawantsyou.com/site/emails/0729.php as it's site.
So I guess Jake just kept plugging in new numbers for the date and got lucky...

Now, that is an explaination I can understand. So perhaps this was going to be the next update and he just found it early.

So either he bruteforced that by just copying the octagonglobalrecruiting site's email pages (.../site/emails/0618.html), applying that to the DWY site, and going through the dates, or someone tipped him off. Either way, that mail isn't supposed to go out until Friday, meaning that we will still need to wait for "a few days" until the site is revamped.

Do you think this was the original plan or their reaction to people sharing their Card Numbers? I'd assume that, since it's really the only unchangable part of your profile, it's their way of identifying you and extremely important if you happen to be one of the top ten at the end.

Edit: Oh, so that's what that "a new message has ben posted" thingy means when hitting "submit". Rolling Eyes

Personally, no, I don't think so. If it was very important that we keep those numbers to ourselves, they could have mentioned it. They could have done so in an in-game way, right on the "your profile" page, or told us in an OOG way on the "What is this?" page.

That said, I do see the wisdom in keeping the number to yourself, even if there isn't anything explicitly telling us to do so.

they have now password protected the e-mail sites. downside how do we get to them if we cant download the pictures now? how do we see the page source for clues? I want to be able to send a message to hoodlum letting them know that it would be easier to create random names for the e-mails rather than saving them by date which would make it harder if not impossible for us to get to them unofficially.

EDIT: sent email hopefully they get it and hopefully the passwords a re a temporary solution and that they didnt overlook the hidden clues in them as not being found if they password protect the html site

Banks Claw

In the new email, as well as previous email (html source code vew) there has been a comment called "Banks Claw" . Most people just reconned it to mean the book The Black Swan. Possibly it means more?

Should we be following the "Banks Claw" (Black Swan?) reference for now?
I was watching a show (Carriers) on PBS last night & heard someone mention Black Swan Lake in Australia.
I went on Google & looked up Black Swan in Australia.

There is a "Black Swan Lake in Perth, AU but I couldn't find anything related...

Also found an old australian ballet called Black Swan.

Just some ideas to maybe follow-up on in the meantime before the OGR update.
Possibly we're missing the hint still & the ARG has already started?

I doubt it, considering the meat and potatoes of the ARG is supposed to be the tests.

Lol and you know it's fake once you go to the first test.... an association of a fetus with random google ads.

And both sadly mediocre. I usually get a bit of entertainment out of gamejacks, and they pass the time while waiting, but this last one was just cheap. Google ads? Come on, man...

"What ever happened to that girl, Cassie?" Now that was a game jack...

I have to admit, for us, it's pretty obvious, but I'm willing to bet there's someone out there making some cash, maybe not a ton, but enough to make it worth the time to make a fake blog with ads.

Too bad though, really tarnishes the mysticism.
