It was a pretty smart trick. I joined their Facebook group and a FB fan club for 007 thanks to that email. I just wish the first communication had been anything to do with this game, assuming it is actually going to go somewhere.

This is interesting, because I submitted my info to the site(s) right when I discovered the signs at Comic-Con, and haven't received any mail from Sony.

Interesting that they didn't send it to everyone.

I got it as well, but not from D-9

I signed away my address a long time ago when they were doing funny online promo stuff for Walk Hard. Kind of Viral-ish but nothing complicated.

The emails are pretty useless anyways. They just push they're latest piece of crap on us and tell us to buy other pieces of crap.

Anyway, sholdn't we be getting back to grasping at threads, looking for clues that don't seem to be there? After all, that's much more productive! Laughing

I agree. I'm still curious about Sister Carrie. I mentioned a couple of things about her in my first post on page 17 that I think went unnoticed. Her name is the same as a literary character. I won't repeat my whole post here. But I can't help but wonder if she is more significant than we realize.

I agree. I think she's going to play a larger part in all of this. I'm off to reread you post...

For anyone who's interested, Sister Carrie on Wikipedia:

Not sure how, beyond story wise, this relates...But nonetheless, it's intruiging. Also it *does* say on the D9 site that "Learning the Alien Language can be a valuable job skill." Could Sister Carrie be MNU? (Related, that is...)

Edit:

I just did a search with the subject line and found this strange site. Can't tell if it's real or not, but it seems pretty weird either way.

I'm thinking it's just spam, and it's definitely not D9 related Laughing . But, you know, happens to the best of us. XD

Did I forget to mention that the email address was from Sony Pictures?

JeaniefrizzleGoodrichSPLATSonyPictures.com

that's what made me think twice about it.

Ok so I noticed on her account that she has viewed 3 videos. Is there anyway to tell what videos she watched? Just curious. I also wrote her at youtube and got not response.

Also curious has anyone tried searching for the names in facebook or myspace or the picture site that escapes my mind right now but has been used in several Args now. Just want to ask before I do it and someone already has.

I'm going out on a limb and guessing that it isn't really from SonyPictures.com but that a spammer is spoofing the return address field. If possible, take a look at all of the email headers and trace the real sender's location.
