 		[8/13/42] Recovered Pasadena package
package labeled Scope 1
I came home to a little surprise today. A large yellow envelope greeted me from my mailbox. It was addressed to vapor. The return address was

Scope 1
Pasadena, CA

There was postage but it was not stamped with a post office seal. There was a bar code that covered up part of the return address.

Inside was another diary entry from Anara dated January 23rd, 1248

Dear Diary,

John's MRI came back today & his brain is injured more than I thought. There is a very small chance he will ever recover. I can't help but wonder, what is the point of keeping him alive? If I were forced to be in the same state as he, I would hope that someone would have enough mercy to let me pass. Maybe that is just the cynic in me. His father would never let that happen. He continues to visit every day hoping for good news. Today I only gave him bad news. It is so sad to watch him. He talks to John as though he can hear him. While I have heard some comatose patients can hear people talking, I don't think John will ever wake up long enough to tell us.


Also inside was another medical report form.

The most bizarre item in the package was a green men's necktie. Inside the necktie was a small piece of paper with a ghosted image of the SkyCorp logo and the following typed quote:

On the back of this piece of paper was hand-written

Anomolies, I cannot do this with all packages.

Be kind, be on time.

 		Yeah, I'm sorry that the pics are so huge. I should probably resize them and replace them. I just couldn't wait to share them with all of you.

 		Not that you need to do it this second, obviously, but are you going to be able to scan them with a UV light, just in case?

The quote inside the necktie is from an address given by Woodrow Wilson, while President of Princeton, to the American Bar Association. It was given in Chattanooga, TN in 1910. Full text can be found HERE. (be aware, it's about 20 pages long)
