sirpions, not in chat I assume. You may be one of the first.
I had the map solved in irc pretty quick... then it was just a zoom to the finish... but I didn't submit the #. I've had two, and I'm happy with the coordinate solve this week
you may very well get in... not sure how many will actually put the work in to triangulate, over just waiting for someone to post the answer

So, thebruce, are you going to throw a map up on the wiki to show your work?

Well everytime I try to submit it says it already has that e-mail address. I only have two and have used both trying to get in my tip. Has anyone else been having this problem.

Just curious, what tool did you use to triangulate? I had a globe with thread, but didn't get a good answer.

Yeah, I can't chat from work....firewalls...
I watched the SHH forums and went from there...so I doubt that I got it in that quick.
It's nice of you to give others a chance, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter. It's all very fun!
Thanks again, Brucie!

re: map, yeah
re: submitting
theory is the submission still goes through if you use the same email (it just doesn't say it went through, only that the email is already registered).
Safest bet though is to have a new email ready each week kinda frustrating though...

Hale's already got 76% of the vote. Next week should be interesting.

I submitted once with previous email and then another time with a different one. It seemed to take the second one ok. I didn't waste any time between them though...

I'm curious about this myself. Did you bust out your trusty Astrolabe?

In ILB, none of the characters were part of Halo 2. This can be a complete side-story, filling in the world, but not directly incorporated into the game itself. It's much easier for the PMs do do that, rather than be constrained by the exact details of the game story.
Halo and Resistance are 2 different and, dare I say, competing game franchises. Check out your database for "Resistance: Fall of Man". Nathan Hale is the main character. Resistance 2 is the sequel.

It was cool to see Khaner start to mutate. Nasty, but cool.

google earth...
* note the three cities, use the path function and approximate the distance and angle (north = 0 degrees) then save as a path. Do the same for each city.
* zoom in where the three lines almost meet. noticed a city that was pretty much equidistant right in the middle of the line ends. jump to that city, use the lat/long, punch it in with the right format, and zing.
took a while to get to that point of course, figuring out the best way to find it... but why search out a complex mapper when an angle/distance triangulation can be done by hand? *shrug*
how did everyone else do it?
