PHONE : Phone call from Dr. Kendra

I've been emailing Dr. Kendra. I finally convinced her that I am an attorney and I am Dale's attorney. Dale signed a release so she could talk to me. (He's signed a release so she can talk to anybody.)

She called and left a voice mail message and then called me back about an hour later this morning. I wrote some frantic notes while talking with her. I think I established a good rapport with her, and she agreed that I could email her any additional questions, so if y'all have some ideas, send them to me so I can pass them on to her.

Major points of conversation:

1. Dale is stablized and no longer suicidal.
2. Dr. Kendra is going to start the paperwork to have Dale released in the nextfew days or so.
3. Dr. Kendra is now "leaning" toward the idea that Dale is not insane.
4. Dale told Dr. Kendra that he was "in two places" at the same time on the day of the accident. Dale told Dr. Kendra that he was at the park, his wife told Dale that she was leaving him, he was going to kill himself with a gun, and a six fingered man appeared and stopped him. The six fingered man gave him a wish. Then Dale woke up and his family was dead.
5. Dale's memory of the events of the day is "sketchy."
6. Dale doesn't seem delusional, although she can't explain his story about magicalwishes.
7. She has reviewed the video tape and the police report and can't explain the discrepency. She said it's "my problem. Or maybe it's my solution. I don't know."
8. ****Additional information about the police report would be helpful.****
9. The mayor and someone else, possibly the city attorney, came to see Dale inthe hospital. Dale was not happy when they left. Dale was unhappy enough that Dr.Kendra suggested that Dale not have any more visitors.
10. Dale has been in contact with "his friend Sam" since he's been in the hospital.
11. Dr. Kendra thinks that Sam will follow-up with Dale and help when Dale gets out of the hospital.
12. Dale has signed a release that allows Dr. Kendra to talk with people, but she has a busy practice, so she can only do so much.
13. Dale has said that the "long lost brother" who contacted Dr. Kendra is in fact his long lost brother.
14. Dale has said that everyone who emailed her and said they were his attorney is his attorney.
15. Dale has a hard time talking about the day of the accident because he gets very upset.

Okay, based on that I think we should follow up on the police report and the Mayor and with Sam to find out what they learned when they talked with Dale. (Or did we do that already?)

Lawdog, Maybe she could tell us what she knows about Bruce as well. Like if he has visited Dale and what Dale was like after that visit. Also maybe if we could get a time of his release so Sam could pick him up and not Bruce. I still don't trust Bruce.

I think it means that the fictitious personae adopted by some players has been accepted in-game. Congrats to the long lost brother and the lawyers! Wink

She said that tons of people have contacted her and said they were Dale's friend, or lawyer and one long lost brother. Dale always agrees that whoever emails her is in fact his friend, lawyer, dog or whatever. She can't investigate everyone so she's taking these statements on face value as long as Dale agrees and the email seems to be convincing and legitimate.

Oh, and there's no definite time for release yet. She's just starting the paperwork. I'll follow up with her in a couple of days. From the conversation, I think Sam is the main person who will be looking out for Dale when he gets out.
