Zach sent the song. I couldn't find the lyrics either.
The cypher ALMOST works with the words and paragraphs if you just repeat over and over, like the first paragraph is also the 11th paragraph. There's just one paragraph that's not long enough. Just to double-check, y'all heard the same thing? Or did anyone hear any of the numbers or anything differently?

A grue is a fictional predator from the Zork series of interactive fiction games by Infocom. The word grue was first used in modern times as a fictional predator from Jack Vance's Dying Earth universe. Vance probably took the name from an archaic/dialectal English verb derived from a Scandinavian word meaning to feel horror, shudder (OED), now most commonly encountered in the word "gruesome".

Ok just had a chance to listen to the new wav. There is only one part I heard different, so someone may want to check what I hear against what Kitrona heard.
Quote:
The telltale heart (bard?), None of one, seven of two, 12 of 3, 48 of 4, 5 of 5, 13 of 6, none of 7, 2nd of 9, 7 of 12, 3 of 14, 1st and 15th and 4th to last of 16th, 5th in 17th, and 5th again in 18th, 20 holds it in 29, 9 in 21, 7 in 23, 13 in 24, 14 is the last in 25

Well it seems like the person knows german atleast.
Also is it me or does Orville (that's the new name for him right?) seem to talk in circles?
He knows german because he wrote mein gott? I'm Jewish and I know what mein gott is =P In fact, I say it occasionally as a piece of ironic humor.
Sure. We have to assume that every choice the character makes is a potential clue.

My stab at this using the clues the words I got trying to count by Paragraphs from one site. Using spaced out lines as a paragrah sometimes. This was the most popular on google that is why i used it. www.literature.org/authors/poe-edgar-allan/tell-tale-heart.html
first nothing triumph in did was you had I corpse my grew now idea more when not
Doing the same with letters. remember when I hit the bottom I continued counting starting with the first.

Not sure if this helps but tried..
The only thing in the clue that seems to be off to me or sticks out to me is he goes from saying "7 of 2" to "2nd in 9"
Changing up the wording might be significant hint.

I got slightly different words.
first nothing triumph slight lie officers first eighth presently stimulates refrained me been fancy the of
There was one paragraph that had no 29th word, so I skipped it.
I haven't gotten the letters yet because life has been so crazy. But I think it's fair to say that if it's words, at least the first three are correct? (I'm not saying I'm right, I'm just saying I got different words that may be wrong.)
Also, I tried the anagram maker program thing and got no anagrams that stood out.

so is there anything else we know? Something else to follow, or something like that? I just think maybe we're going at this from too straight foward.

I got an email from Zach, but it wasn't anything that I can tell.

I don't think we have enough information to crack this code. And I have to admit to getting frustrated.

Is there something else in the e-mail anywhere? Like a weird string of capitals in the subject line, daggum it you'd think of that! I don't know. It doesn't make any sense to reply like that and not send some kind of clue.
EDIT: Sorry Just too frustrating. It just feels like somethings off

I agree, it's like we're missing something important.
I mean it's there, but what is it. The numbers could be anything. Words, letters, paragraphs, heck even his different stories. It could be just the parts that are spoken, it could be the parts not spoken. It could be what the guy is thinking.
Ok now I"m getting frustrated LOL
