Good find! However, It doesn't seem to BE morse.

No it don't. I just thought it was odd that it was found on a hidden version of the trailer. I know that there was morse code found in source code for Rorshach's Journal, so if it does happen to be morse, it may say the same thing.

The dots seem a little random to me.. However, someone at SHH! boards found this little tidbit as well:

http://www.slashfilm.com/2008/01/12/are-the-watchmen-watching-27com/

Which may be a trailhead and it may be an attempted gamejack (as the article wonders).

EDIT: looks to be nothing to me.

Well he does have an interesting point... "27.com" is now a low budget domain by any means.

Then again, it's got quite a long history on the Internet Archive Wayback Machine.

The "ro.jpg" appears all the way back to August 25th, 2007, but of note is the entry just prior to that one...

http://web.archive.org/web/20070817183227/www.27.com/cool/

...which points to a subdirectory called "argforums" on 3423.com.

So, yeah, I'm guessing gamejack. But it's been that way for a while.

*EDIT*

The same day (according to the Wayback Machine) that the 27.com site was given the image "ro.jpg", THIS POST, created by the forum moderator, was made.

Confirmation?!

When I saw the title of this thread, it reminded me of a fruitless search I did a while back that lead me to Watchmen stuff. It may be a long shot that this is related, but I'll post my think track and let you all decide.

Remember this $1.59 posting on Despoiler from January?
The video on youtube is http://www.youtube.com/user/ceeemooore
As was pointed out back then, the mirrored coins look something like a Rorschach.

Seeing as how this is my first post on unforum, i'm sorry to say that this isn't a huge breakthrough

The "one dollar and fifty nine cents in assorted loose change" is confirmed 100% Watchmen-related. It comes from a police report in the graphic novel that states Rorschach had "1 battery powered flashlight; 5 individually wrapped cubes 'Sweet Chariot' chewing sugar; 1 map New York underground and subway system, dated 1968 with recent alterations drawn in with a red ballpoint pen; withered remains one red rose; one dollar and fifty nine cents assorted loose change..." in his pocket.

Im not sure if this youtube video is related to the ARG, but i'm going to be keeping my eye on the user who posted it

hopefully my next post will be a little more useful, im with this one till the end!

I assume you guys have heard of Fox's gayness. They want to cancel the watchmen because of some contractual loophole.

I'm trying to ignore that news. But if they do cancel the movie, I will be boycotting fox for life.

Won't happen. Fox just wants a percentage... they claim Warner didn't own the film rights. Pretty shady the way they played it, waiting until filming was complete to file suit. At that point WB had over $100m invested, leaving them with little option but to negotiate a deal.

Hope this doesn't interfere with a viral! Only a little more than 6 months until release...

Someone refresh my memory, what was the last good movie that Fox put out?

Seriously... you have to go back a few years. Though whatever happens, I refuse to protest until after I've seen 'Wolverine'.

It'll all work out. If anything, this will just raise the hype about the film even more.

Now where's that ARG? Smile

Actually, they themselves are filing the suit for cancellation of the movie (although obviously warner brothers will not run with this and will just offer them a percentage). Warner tried to dismiss the suit but the judge was being really annoying.

I think you could definitely be on to something there . . . I'll be keeping an eye on ceeemooore too. The first time I watched the video I was reminded of those cards that Rorschach has to look at when the doctor is examining him. And seeing as the title is a direct quote . . . . The video has been up there for quite a while though.

Let's hope that they get all this legal stuff sorted quickly so that neither the ARG or the film will be delayed *crosses fingers*

Could be, but having Zach Snyder be one of the characters in the ARG seems a bit dodgy. That, and Nite Owl II's Owl-ship wouldn't be in the Owlcave at this point in history. That identity was burned, and he used the ship to get to the orchestrator of Watchmen's plot.

Still, bookmarked!
