[TWITTER] new twitter from Ariadne

Quote:
poking @ the omphaputer to see if there are any instructions for the mutliverse olympics

I didn't see what she was talking about.

RUN GRAPH has changed slightly - I'll upload pics from yesterday & today. You can see that since the Olympics have started, the # of worlds are slowly dropping.

Also training times were updated last week - they have the Gaea record for 7-circuit misquoted at 49.15, when I believe it should be 59.15 seconds. But GAEA still owns the worlds record in both 3-circuit and 7-circuit.

Let us know if you find any new commands!

I think looking for a new command is what we're trying to do. Can we get Delphi involved maybe? (Not necessarily required though Razz.)

Dreamerblue tweeted the command she found, "2008" which provides:

Omphaputer wrote:
Athletic synchronization live.
Critical target threshold achieved.
Flare navigation enabled.

I in turn tried "FLARE" which was nothing, but "FLARE/NAVIGATION" gives:

Omphaputer wrote:
Awaiting flare instructions.
Flare 24 August 2008

Looks like there's a host of new commands to be found...

Great work. But how did you found this one?

The third line to the response from 2008 is "Flare navigation enabled"
So mr.judkins tried
FLARE
then
FLARE/NAVIGATION

Good news and bad news.

There was an omphaputer update last night.
The good news is that the white line continues to decline slowly.

The bad news is that dark blue worlds and purple worlds have swapped places, and light blue worlds & orange worlds have swapped places.
So if you live on a red world or green world, you probably woke up in the same world you went to sleep in.

But other than that hiccup, white is down, red is down, everything is slightly down, which is exactly what we want to see.

As near as I can tell, it's about 75% of the way from 10^10 and 10^11.
Let me pull out my log table....

Which should be enough. I believe when they first said 72 billion worlds, we figured we needed to get the line 86% between 10^10 and 10^11.

Edit to add:
I've got tic marks at 50% and 75%. The top of the little window on the right is about where I think the white line ends up, so around 75%.

Omphaputer math Lesson 4.

Omphaupdate last night.
New Graph below.
colors are still fubar.
White, Red, and Green remain the same, but purple & dark blue are still crossed, and orange/light blue are still crossed.

I put dots where I think the Numbers are now, using their original color (ie. I put an orange dot, where light blue seems to end, and put a light blue dot where orange seems to end.)

Some quick logarithmic math.
If you think of the graph as being a ruler from 1 billion (1x10^9) to 100 billion (1x10^11) on the logarithmic scale, but measuring 2 inches in length, then log of the # of billions gives you the distance from 1x10^9.

eg. log 1 = 0 inches above 1x10^9
log 10 = 1 inches above 1x10^9
log 100 = 2 inches above 1x10^9

we are trying to find where 72 billion is.
log 72 = 1.85 inches above 1x10^9, or .85 inches above 1x10^10.

In addition, purple, green, and orange are now hovering near the 1 billion mark. Light & dark blue are hovering near the 10 billion mark, and red is near 35 billion (just an estimate - definitely below the 40 billion mark that it was at in 2000).

So the white line is 58 billion at most (probably lower).

I also said this in the thread following up the "flare" part of the plan from the ring unification party chat, but I feel the need to repeat here since the command was originally reported here:

If you now type FLARE/NAVIGATION into the Omphaputer, you get:
Quote:

Instructions Received: Clap Clap Thumbs Up, Clap Clap Hands Up
Flare 24 August 2008
