I'm sure they all think I'm hopelessly stupid, but I am really clueless on this. Doesn't help that I'm tired. :/ All I'm getting is that the code is the letters in each sentence. I'll try that again, see if I come up with something useful.

 		OMIGOD!! I solved it!! that crazy Flaming Nutter was using the letters in the sentences!!! If you try it with the words (witht the repeating) it comes out as "Descend is Measure" which sounds like spelunking advice, but it doesn't answer "It's what you should do." . But if you do the letters you get "run". He's warning us off. I don't know why but there it is!!!! W0000T!

My head is throbbing, must use bed.

Ok so.. maybe my brain is fried also. Let me see if I got this right. You used the numbers like "none of 1" meaning None of the letters in word 1? Right?

Yes. That's what I mean, that's the clue. We need to use the letters in the sentences in the Telltale Heart.

The problem is Poe's use of... INTERESTING... punctuation. It's hard to tell what he's considering a sentence. ARGH.

My problem is that I don't know what they're counting as a sentence. It could be just exclamation marks and periods, or it could be that semi-colons indicate a new sentence.

I'm an ARG- and forum-newbie, so please bear with me. So far I've just been reading along but maybe now I can contribute at last.

As Kitrona already stated, we can't tell what counts as a sentence and what not and there are different versions of the Tell-Tale Heart with varying punctuation on the Internet.
So I toyed with different variants of sentences and came up with this:

SOLENOPSISINUICTA

Google-Search for "solenopsis inuicta" shows a few matches relating to fire ants.

However Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_imported_fire_ant, Google-Booksearch http://books.google.de/books?id=vxt5BqOKEAIC&pg=RA1-PA550&vq=inuicta&dq=%22solenopsis+inuicta%22&source=gbs_search_s&cad=1&sig=ACfU3U3Umxmz-1HZoodCbCjketYg5fxnDw, etc. spell that SOLENOPSIS INVICTA.


It's probably farfetched, but since we already had hornets and eagles I thought I'd mention it...

 		Eagles? I missed the part about eagles.

I'm wondering if there is a common link between the insects' venom and the leishmaniasis. Some basic research shows that both the hornet venom and the leishmaniasis involve a cytolytic peptide (to cause necrosis of tissue?). I don't know if a similar agent exists in ant venom.

About the venom: no idea, tried to look it up but there's way too much chemistry involded.

 		I also realised that the eagle (presumably), the ants, and the hornets all regurgitate to feed their young.

Interestingly, the hornet adults can't eat food and have to rely on their larvae to digest and secrete nutrients for consumption.

 		As I just told Gregoryn95 in IRC, Ugh. I'm about to just give up on this stupid game. We have no idea what's going on, we haven't had any contact from them for days, and we don't have enough info to get anywhere.

I can only rack my brains so much before I get frustrated enough to give up. I'll give it another day or so, but if things don't move along, sorry, I'm outta here.
