I have been looking at all the art on www.le-sublime.com was thinking that the Bold lettering on the word mirror could of lead to the detail on the samedi 7 juin 2008 entry, which is from
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Wer wird mich erlösen?
Maybe that was how we were ment to find the answer.....Maybe...

Random Fact: Beata Beatrix - Dante Gabriel Rossetti
Quote:
The sundial represents the hour as close at hand. Dante was quite superstitious about the number nine, and in his book refers to that number so often that this picture would not be complete without some indication of it. He was nine years old when he met Beatrice; nine years later he received her salutation; it was usually on the ninth hour that he saw or dreamed of her; and it was at the ninth hour that she passed away.

I think you're spot on there clairenor. There's also some boldened text on the Baudelaire excerpt: "purs miroirs" and "éternelles" which translates as "pure mirror" and "eternal". Not sure if that has any significance.

Also, note how the 2 posts with Khnopff works in are actually tagged with "Khnopff". The only other tagged post is the most recent, the picture of Fuseli's "The Nightmare" which is tagged with "Je commence ŕ comprendre". This translates to: "I start to understand". Perhaps this is our next clue?

Will keep looking.

I think Beatrix is a bit mixed up on where the Klimt exhibtion is, she says she is seeing it in london but it is in fact at the Liverpool Tate. Correct dates tho 30 may to 31 august http://www.tate.org.uk/liverpool/exhibitions/gustavklimt/default.shtm

The Klimt work is originally in/from the Tate, London. It's being Loaned to the Tate Liverpool for those dates.

Besides I'm not seeing where it says London at all.

Right. She never told me that.

Interesting point to that is;
Mike's last known location was London where he had his rendez-vous with E.P. It makes me wonder if Mike and B.G. are familiars in which case the 'city mix-up' can be valid.

Fuseli's 'The Nightmare' (the most recent post) is definitely quite interesting: 'The Dream or the Nightmare' as someone pointed out beforehand. B.G. also spoke of A Dream in her Youtube comment;

B.G. YouTube wrote:
I had this dream day after day since the last time I saw you.

Unfortunately I cannot recover the exact time of the YouTube comment;
it would be interesting to compare it to the blog entry date/time.

The small picture of beata beatrix has the name 36.270 if you google it the first Image that comes up is for Gauguin's Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?, I am guessing the number is some kinda catalogue number. The painting was painted in Tahiti, another South Pacific Island. I could be reaching a little Confused
Any other ideas..

I know Leyton already posted a quick translation, but this is a more accurate one of 'Extrait des Fleurs du mal:
La Beauté by Charles Baudelaire':

http://fleursdumal.org/poem/116 wrote:
Beauty
I am fair, O mortals! like a dream carved in stone,
And my breast where each one in turn has bruised himself
Is made to inspire in the poet a love
As eternal and silent as matter.

On a throne in the sky, a mysterious sphinx,
I join a heart of snow to the whiteness of swans;
I hate movement for it displaces lines,
And never do I weep and never do I laugh.

Poets, before my grandiose poses,
Which I seem to assume from the proudest statues,
Will consume their lives in austere study;

For I have, to enchant those submissive lovers,
Pure mirrors that make all things more beautiful:
My eyes, my large, wide eyes of eternal brightness!

— William Aggeler, The Flowers of Evil (Fresno, CA: Academy Library Guild, 1954)

As for Gauguin... It's quite interesting how those numbers pointed in his direction. He was an active artist during the same period as Klimt. They were part of completely different movements though...

The painting of Gauguin stems from 1897 ('Wer wird mich erlösen' stems from 1891) during his period in Haiti where he developed Primitivism; a movement wherof the work inspired Matisse' Fauvism; The Wild Beasts...

Enough with the Art History class...
Either way, I think it's a bit of a too deep dig Clairenor, but the findings are interesting nonetheless. ^_~

Edit: On another note:

Leyton and Gregory already discovered at an earlier time that the IP 74.208.29.147 can be an ftp://. Thus, the username and password may have to be inserted there. However, it may as well be that they have to be used at a later time in game...

FTP server idea was found to be unlikely:
http://www.who.is/whois-com/ip-address/polycystin.com/ wrote:

IP Address: 74.208.29.147
IP Location: United States

This is an exact match to the IP adres from the config.txt page.
Therefore there is no seperate server; Futhark was loaded from the current one with the designated username and password.

Hence: there might be a login-box we need to locate.

We figured that out already. It's from the .xml/source of the le-sublime blog.

To continue...
Two e-mails were already sent to the above e-mail address last night in order to validate it and to push communicaton away from YT.
Let's try to keep spam out of the picture now 'guest' decided to post it.
