Nope I haven't been told if I'm wrong or not and I've still got the same 310 points that I usually have!

i could not draw any information from him, i asked him about secureidguard, and about ethan and zach, and online life protect. i asked him anything i could think of, i went into the possibility of someone being corrupt at secureidguard, i told him about tyler and her car accident. this is what he said about Online Life Protect:

"[4:16:47 PM] timdnls says: I have to choose my words a bit carefully here, as this is part of the ongoing investigation. In brief, we suspected that there might be a corruption in our system. Rather than compromising our customers, we decided to suspend our business, pending further review."

he didnt go into much detail when i asked him anything. this is a bummer, i would've thought we would've gotten more info from this guy, it seems like it was just a rabbit trail.GAH im so frustrated! i hope you guys have better luck with him and finally get more insight as to what's going on.

I disagree

Actually, i think that spells alot. First, he knows something is going on. Question is which side of the fence is he on. Is he playing the part of the accomplice.... or was he truly worried about his business and costumers.... Second, he's being watched...or thinks he is. Contact Sarah green with the info. See if she can pressure him. He knows something more. Can someone get sarah in on the chat with him??? A 3 way skype chat? Hmmmmmmmmm

Tim
Skype meeting

I was a few minutes late to our meeting (thank you, Tropical Storm Fay and sketchy power lines), but Tim was still able to get with me. Nice guy. Very Happy

btw, Hi, everyone. I'm playing along, too. Cool

I tried to get some information about the characters, etc., coming from the standpoint of someone who is just interested in security. Tim seemed most willing to go into the death of his partner and the "security breach" at his company. There was also a very random mention of his partner being an Israeli Catholic. Why is this important? The only thing I didn't get to ask was what the security breach actually did, in his words. Our conversation ended before that. Here is the chat log.

Quote:
timdnls

This is Tim Daniels for your 5:45 chat appointment.
6:11 PM
Hi Mokey - just got your email right before I was about to duck out. Are you still there?

Mokey
6:15 PM
Hi!
6:16 PM
Thank you for contacting me!
timdnls
6:16 PM
Great to meet up with you.
Mokey
6:16 PM
I apologize for not being available during our appointed time.
timdnls
6:16 PM
No problem. You said you had some questions about SecureIDGuard?
Mokey
6:16 PM
Yes, I do. I
6:16 PM

I'd like to know some general information, if you can help me.
6:17 PM

It seems to me that securing identity should be very difficult to do.
6:17 PM

Are they reliable?
timdnls
6:17 PM
SecureIDGuard opened fairly recently, so I'm not aware of any consumer reports. I know both the owners, and they are wonderful at their job.
6:17 PM

So, to answer your question
6:18 PM

I would say yes from a personal standpoint and judging from their previous experience, although I have to admit I don't have any second opinions.
Mokey
6:19 PM
Are they what you would call trustworthy people? You mentioned that you know them personally. I would want to be certain that I am doing business with people who can be trsuted.
timdnls
6:20 PM
I would say that they are very trustworthy. In fact, when their investment capital fell through, I recommended my previous investors to them.
Mokey
6:20 PM
Why did it fall through?
timdnls
6:21 PM
I suppose you could call it a series of unfortunate events. Everything went wrong at the same time.
6:22 PM

My business partner passed away, and at the same time, we detected a possible security breach.
Mokey
6:22 PM
Is that something that a potential client should be worried about? I'm sorry to be so inquisitive, but I hope you understand; I am concerned about security.
timdnls
6:23 PM
Like I said, this series of events happened to my previous company Online Life Protect. I am not aware of any known problems with SecureIDGuard.
Mokey
6:23 PM
I understand.
6:23 PM

If you have another moment, what can you tell me about the owners themselves?
timdnls
6:24 PM
I am very proud of them. Ethan Dobb's invention of Desidtech promises to make secure transfers even more secure.
Mokey
6:24 PM
How does it work? Can you tell me anything about it?
timdnls
6:25 PM
I only know the basics, but it works something like this:
6:26 PM

One possible breach of security would come from within a company. SecureIDGuard safeguards information not only from potential phishers and theives, but also from its own employees.
Mokey
6:26 PM
I see.
6:26 PM

What can you tell me about the other owner?
timdnls
6:27 PM
Zach Bremmen controls more of the business side of operations.
Mokey
6:27 PM
What is he like as a person? Is he someone a person can trust?
timdnls
6:27 PM
He secured the original financing deal, and when that fell through, negotiated the new terms with Carlyal Capital.
6:28 PM

In every dealing with him that I've had, I've had no reason to think of him as anything but a man of integrity.
Mokey
6:28 PM
Wonderful.
6:29 PM

I really appreciate your help. I'm also sorry to hear about the death of your partner. That must have been terrible.
timdnls
6:29 PM
Thank you, it's been a tough month.
Mokey
6:30 PM
It was an accidental death?
timdnls
6:30 PM
Well, that is how the police see it.
Mokey
6:30 PM
But you see it differently?
timdnls
6:31 PM
I don't really know what to think. It was a really tough time for him. His family had just recently died.
Mokey
6:32 PM
My goodness. That's so awful. I'm so sorry that the new business venture wasn't able to lift his spirits.
timdnls
6:33 PM
Well, everything was falling apart at once. We suspected a security breach, and Rivo called in federal investigators.
Mokey
6:34 PM
Was it possible he was connected to the security breach?
timdnls
6:35 PM
I truly doubt that. Rivo was a very strict Catholic (the only Israeli Catholic I think I have ever met). He was extremely honest.
Mokey
6:35 PM
I understand. So you think the whole thing was probably just too much for him?
timdnls
6:37 PM
I don't really understand the whole thing. Suicide would be the last thing he would ever do.
6:37 PM

So I have to hope that it was an accident.
Mokey
6:38 PM
I see. How sad. If it wasn't suicide, though -- is it possible his investigation put him in danger? I know with major business deals, people have been known to be very protective of their secrets.
6:38 PM

Or perhaps it really was just a tragic coincidence.
timdnls
6:39 PM
One thing I've learned is never to make any kind of allegations of an insecure communication line.
6:39 PM

I'm sorry to be taking up your time. Have I answered all of your questions?
Mokey
6:39 PM
Good point.
6:39 PM

Yes, thank you very much! I appreciate your help, and thank you for talking with me.
timdnls
6:40 PM
No, thank you. It's always nice to talk to someone sympathetic. Good luck, and I hope you'll contact me in the future if you have any more security concerns.
Mokey
6:40 PM
I will definitely keep you in mind. I've enjoyed our conversation!
6:40 PM

Best of luck to you, and please let me know if you think of anything I may need to know, as well. Thanks again!
timdnls
6:41 PM
Have a wonderful evening - hope the power stays on.
Mokey
6:41 PM

6:41 PM

Thanks!

Goodbye!

That's the whole thing! Cool

Hi everybody. I am extremely behind; I got an e-mail the other day telling me that the game has started, saw 37 pages of posts already and can't take the time to get caught up. I e-mailed the security site and received an e-mail back - so thought I should paste it here for those actively playing.

Anything happening yet?

Hi Palm, I think that's the standard reply. After you give them the details, you get a code card through snail mail, receipt of which you have to confirm in their site. Which I did earlier this week, though with no results (perhaps I did something wrong?).

Hi Mokey, your name's familiar.

Hello. Cool

I've been around a few years, popping in here and there. You probably remember me from the No Parents thing.

I solved it and sent it in. I can post the solution in spoiler tags if its ok. Someone PM me and tell me that is cool and I'll do it.

Also I added on the forums on the official site this post.
http://deletedthegame.freeforums.org/where-is-secure-id-guard-inc-t13.html#55

I'm the third post down. I'm willing to go check out that address if anyone is interested or thinks it might be relevant. I think it is. I can't help myself anyway. I should have an update by Monday afternoon.

I don't know what you'd expect to find at that address, but I have certainly seen where checking addresses that are ARG related have turned up clues..

Where did you submit the info...her myspace account or elsewhere??

Hmm. I submitted the answer both on the official game site (deletedthegame.com) and at Tyler's myspace. I didn't submit my answer on the official game site last week and I think that was wrong. Oh well...

I don't know what could be at that address. After watching the video, I'm thinking maybe more info about Carlyal and why they want the Secure ID identities so bad. Or maybe more information about what kind of key they need from Ethan to get the identities. Or maybe some info about where Ethan is?? I don't know...maybe they'll have a sign or poster up there that's relevant. I went to the party so the designers know they have at least one player that's in the same neighborhood as them. I work 3 blocks from where they film this and I'm only a few subway stops from this address. They also know I post all the info on UnFiction so maybe they'll make it live? I dunno. It would be really cool though.

Help

I stink at this encrypting/decrypting stuff. I have noticed some double and triple letter patterns in the above cipher. If anyone can PM me or offer up what type of encryption it is and or how they figured it out I would appreciate it. I fairly new at trying to crack this stuff.

Hi all..

I return after a week i will never forget, i got a Boyfriend so ill be offline alot more and so i found the Firefox leet key decyper thingee gave me a responce but i wont tell you what it is and also this episode really shows how much we are controlling the game because i assume that the episode that Ronin saw was in episode 2A, this game is really odd because how did tyler remeber her password for Myspace with amnesia??? (i see a plot while i thinks!! ^^) anywhose, it seems nicole was somehow connected to Zach whch is a funny coincidence, i missed my appointment with Mr tim daniels and so i might try and rearrange another appointment but i have this feeling that well need to in contact with him, has anyone tried to use the C3 cypher thing to get an answer though on the site it says C3X so i think there are different types but we must consider the 128 bit encryption because i always thought there was a 256 bit encryption type but that just might be me. tyler or ethan as a passcode, seems a bit off but is worth a try if there is something needed to unlock the cypher the message.!!!!

Edit~

en·ci·pher (n-sfr)
tr.v. en·ci·phered, en·ci·pher·ing, en·ci·phers
To put (a message, for example) into cipher.

using freedictionaryonline .com this is what enciphering is, so its blattenly a command Sgt Tyler has ordered!!!

Edit

Heres something i found just by googling Decipher into google, to be honest, it sounds a bit fun and OOG but it would be good if this was part of the game, watch the starting video to see why!!

@ Irene: What 5 letter key did you use? Or am I going the wrong way with using the hagelin c35 decoder to decode it? Also where do you put the offset number in?

Irene was kind enough to work with me last nite

Irene helped me a bunch last nite....for the sake of not ruining it for each of you PM me and I will relate the clues she gave me for the code to break the cypher.
