That's not right. This has the potential to be a really good ARG.

Potential, yes. Execution.....there's only a minigame involving the finding of 6 objects.

I mean by now they could have at least Emailed everyone with an update of some sort.

Interestingly enough, there was recently DLC added to Rock Band from a band called thenewno2, which is a reference to The Prisoner.

Is this a sequel or a remake? Seems a bad idea either way. I mean, you can't sequel it, can you? Wasn't that one of the points of the last episode? And a remake? I can't see ever being able to do it better. Yes, it had cheesy effects, was a bit heavy-handed at times, etc. but... Would you try to remake 'Rocky Horror Picture Show?' 'Caddy Shack?' 'Gilligan's Island?' Oh nvm.

Actually, MTV is trying to remake Rocky Horror. Which is depressing, cuz I am a member of a Rocky Horror Troupe called Querrios.

Honestly I think there will be stuff in the future - otherwise, they wouldn't have collected our email addresses.

I think this could be both a good ARG and a good series... I'm a fan of the original and it really gives me hope that they're doing it as a miniseries instead of trying to push it through as a full-length television show. That'll give it a tighter plot, better scripting, better cinematography...

But as Verdammt said, this really has potential as an ARG as well, and I think they're hip to that. The production blog is a good start for developing buzz though (since obviously we're all kinda worried about the potential quality of the show itself).

A miniseries is also how Battlestar Galactica tested the waters before launching into a full-fledged series. Perhaps the same is occurring here?

Yeah, good point! The Lost Room is another favorite miniseries "event" that worked really well as six self-contained episodes. Man, I really wish they'd make a full show out of that one...

This is a confirmation from Seek The Six

You are number 369610

You will be contacted

Between that and the fact that the email address was "controlSPLATseekthesix.com", I highly suspect this will turn ARG.

If this does happen and Eldritch Errors picks back up, there will be a glut of ARGs involving the phrase "be seeing you" Razz

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet, but the new The Prisoner tv series is being directed by Christopher Nolan and produced by Emma Thomas - the husband/wife team behind Batman Begins/ Dark Knight. Considering the amount of effort that was put into making the Dark Knight ARG, and the general mysterious nature of previous Nolan film websites, I would think it very likely that this will turn into a fully fledged ARG sometime soon.

yey!

Just because it's directed and produced by the same people doesn't mean it'll be made into an ARG. It's not like they made it themselves - The Dark Knight just needed some good publicity to get it going into hype mode.
