We will never ask you to submit this information without using the keycode generator included with this letter.

Please print and keep your keycode generator in a secure location as it will be used for all transactions containing your employees' personal information. If you should loose your code chart or believe that its secrecy has been compromised, please contact SecureIDGuard immediately for a replacement.

To begin your enrollment process, you will need to confirm the receipt of this package. Visit the SecureIDGuard website (www.secureidguard.com) and click on the 'Client Admin' page. Enter your email and your verification code, for this communication, your verifier is the word "RECEIVED", using the simple enciphering procedure explained on the keycode generator chart. In the box labeled 'Message,' enter your confirmation message which can be 'I confirm receipt of my personalized keycode generator'.

Thank you for choosing SecureIDGuard. We appreciate your business, and will work hard to keep your employees identities safe and secure.

Sincerely,

The thing is I can't find a Client admin page. So not sure what the heck to do. Did you already do all this Irene? I messaged them saying I see no client admin page so will see if i get anything back.

Also just recieved this from Carlyal in response to the question I asked them about taking over SecureIdgaurd

Re: It is an experiment

Agreed Garrett. It is an experiment for the designers too. Remember as far as I know they all volunteering to do this. So they are learning and refining the experience as well. Consider this as a sort of beta experience. There hasn't been to much in this particular genre. Obviously make use of their forums and all too. I am sure they are watching this forum, but just in case direct suggestions and stuff to their page. I wonder if by the end we will have a Cliff's notes or something from the Deleted crew about things we could of done. As far as we know it could be something we are missing. So we shall see. A part of me agrees with the pts and making it somewhat difficult to be "friends" with Tyler and Ethan. I mean if she was getting 100+ messages a day from her friends we wouldn't be getting very far either. That and it has bugged me enough to motivate me to get that status. But at the same time frustrating that I feel like my efforts aren't really doing anything. Though i take the time to write them both each day with updates etc that in know way effects my score. Which I think it kind of should even if it is only a couple pts. Friendship requires communication and if I am taking the time out to drop them a line or two to keep them posted on the storyline etc shouldn't that count in getting me closer to being their "friends"? As it stands right now I feel like I am running in circles trying to make everyone happy but am still left out of the loop.

I'm with all of you on this which is why I've mainly been a lurker.

I emailed Carlyal last night as a "what the heck" idea and said that I had heard negative rumors about SecureID and how they do business and I got the typical response...so I'm thinking Carlyal is a dead end...

"Dear Mr. S*,
As you noted, a malicious smear campaign against SecureIDGuard has surfaced. We have noted this, and do not care to comment on their allegations at this point in time, but rather to work through the fairness of the United States judicial system.
Carlyal Capital is please to have acquired SecureIDGuard. We believe strongly in the product and the brand, and support their efforts fully.

Sincerely,

Business Relations
Carlyal Capitol LLP"

Not much to say....still haven't heard anything from nicole..

Hey. I got a response from Secure ID Guard too!

go to http://www.secureidguard.com/clientadmin and enter your key there. That's what I did :? It's just sort of a 'contact' box like on other parts of the website. Doesn't really open up anything else.

I ran the barcode through a reader and got
"Scanning....

Found 1 barcode(s)

Barcode 1:
Value = Keycode 82
Type = CODE128
Direction = Left to Right
Page = 1
Top Left = (26,4)
Bottom Right = (171,18)"

Is this the same value as the last person who scanned their barcode?

Also, I find it funny that the Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) is called Carlyal Capitol. I didn't notice that before. The proper usage for like 'Capital Investment' is with an A. Wonder if it means anything?

Uniquely for your use

Judging that you got the same generator it seems that it isn't really keyed for my use. Bah....and i thought i was special. oh well

Oh...I looked quick and didn't even notice it was the same key. It will probably come in handy later.

I went to the Secure ID Guard address tonight and found nothing. I think it was actually the apartment of the PM or the tech guy! LOL. The two nice ladies out front were like...Zach Bremmen? White guy? Wears glasses? I had to laugh. But nope...nothing was left for us out in Bushwick.

Sad

Lazarus, you're voicing some of my own "frustration" with this game. They're not really frustrations with me, more general thoughts about the game engine and how different it is from what I'm used to with this kind of thing.

Forgot to mention I received a keycode generator myself two weeks ago, but when I confirmed receipt of it on their site, nothing happened. So I did it a second time, thinking perhaps I got one of the letters wrong or something, and then I got a message in the mail:

Quote:
Dear Mr Nys,
We apologize for the delays you are experiencing. SecureIDGuard is going through a needed restructuring, and we have had to delay our operations slightly as a result. Please be patient with us; we will be responding to your request as soon as possible.

The SecureIDGuard Team

By the way, "Client Admin" has now appeared in their website menu.

To be honest, I don't like the level of "pushing" in this game. Like them wanting a real address, even phone number (luckily I could talk my way out of that one!). Then Tim Daniels, wanting me to install Skype because he prefers it over other chat programs because it's faster. Well, it might be faster for him, but I've got a pretty dated computer at home and after I installed Skype (fool that I am) it's running even slower!

So, to be really frank, I don't know whether I'll keep this up.

I have an appointment to chat with Daniels on Thursday. Since I have another appointment right after that, I only have 15 minutes to talk to him. Knowing what you guys discussed will make it easier for me, but I have a feeling I won't get very far either.

Tim Daniels

yeah, unless we figure out some way to either get ahold of ethan or legitimize the message the tim thing is pointless. I suppose he may e-mail us when the PM's want to drop another hint or something but as of right now I dunno where we supposed to go. Nothing really came from my conversation with Tim. We aren't getting response from Nicole so I dunno. Good luck with your meeting i guess.

There's that Keycode 82 again! Hmmm that's 2 separate places its turned up. In the IDE3 tags of Tylers "Dyan" MP3 and now in a barcode from Secure ID Guard.

Nice to know me finding it in the MP3 wasn't just some fluke and that it might be useful down the line.

P.S. are their and barcode reading programs out there that'll do images? I.E they'll read a barcode from an image file

Yeah, there's Softek barcode reader. But its only a 30 trial. Its pretty good, works with a lot of image files. I think after 30 days you need to un-install and re-install.

Hello, i started following Deleted the other day and I've been watching this forum ever since to try to get a bearing on what has happened so far. It seems to me that the real problem now is getting a hold of Ethan. I think that this would be most likely because he is extremely careful about who he is talking to and what he is talking about. The prime example is that he sent Tyler an encrypted message. This shows that he thinks someone else might be able to read messages he sends. I'm just throwing this out here as just an idea I have, not really sure how right it would be.... I've never played an ARG before. Why not send him an encrypted message.... In the welcome e-mail form secure id guard it says,"Please print and keep your keycode generator in a secure location as it will be used for all transactions containing your employees' personal information." i get the feeling that this is meant to tell us how to contact ethan. lazarus and irene both obtained the same keycode generator which gives way to the possibility of all secure id guard customers having the same one. This would mean that ethan would have it as well since he designed the whole system. even if the keycode generators are suppose to be unique, ethan would probably still be able to find out what each customers keycode is.

I'm not sure if its right or not but hey.... its worth a shot xD

Sounds good

I like the encrypted message thing to ethan. that may work if we send a message back encrypted the same way. Though ethan doesn't have contact with me maybe someone in the friend circle could try it. The keycode generator probablly won't work though. Since it is only to type the keyword in code. I doubt Ethan would care...you can't encode a whole message or anything. The impression i get from the PM is that by design the game is going to move somewhat slow. Unlike other ARG's by incorporating video's there is only so much info they can desseminate throughtout the week. In order for the game to last all 12 weeks it's going to be a slower process. We are so used to crunching facts and looking into each item we get, but that isn't really going to get us to far. We aren't allowed to progress to far until we see more of the story each week.

From Tyler's MySpace update today

Tyler wrote:

Well, I have some good news for a change. I'm going to be singing in a concert with Dov (http://www.myspace.com/dovr) at Caffe Vivaldi (www.caffevivaldi.com) on September 2nd at 9.30pm. I hope you can all drop by to see me. I will be giving away a CD of one of our tracks. If you can't make it, I will also send anyone a free CD who makes a donation to one of the charities on my justgive.org list!

I'll be in New Jersey unfortunately. Gotta work that night. But I got a feeling that this thing is IG rather than an OOG plug. Anyone else able to go to this?
If not maybe we can get the CD the other way....

EDIT: At just give dot org, the donor wish list for Tyler Mills lists America's Second Harvest, OXFAM and Trees For Life

Bummer

Yeah that's a shame you can't make it irene. Sounds like IG to me as well. Makes sense anyway for her to get outta the house. Of course by doing a concert not sure how she would know ARG'ers from general public. But it worth shot. I gonna post in News folder to see if anyone might be available for it.
