I am going to send 5 large white envelopes (legal size) inside a manilla envelope.

The Key Ingredient

I have received my 'Key Ingredient'. This is the purchased one. It came along with a t-shirt that had the list of the 12 missing celebrities.

The 'Key' is a printed document, on parchment. The print appears to be a single frame of a film with text that reads:

Quote:
The Key Ingredient
Certificate of Authenticity

This certificate guarantees that "The Key Ingredient" you have received
is genuine and has been issued and sealed by

Staff of the Magi Productions Inc.

The Number in the lower left corner represents which
"Key Ingredient"
You have received of the 1,000 issued.

0006/1000

I believe that we are going to have to assemble the film. With only 30 days, I hope we can assemble enough pieces.

Are you sure that the t-shirt isn't the key? Cause that "film" doesn't look like if put together with others it would form something. More like it's just a certificate to accompany the key ingredient. I guess we won't know though until others start arriving in the mail.

I agree with faery. I think the piece of parchment with film border is a certificate of authenticity and the T-Shirt is the Key. Is there anything like code printed on it somewhere or is it straight forward letters and names? Are they arranged in a different order or anything like that?

I checked the t-shirt for UV, phosphorescent, and thermal ink. Nada.

The only difference that I noted was in the list of names on the shirt. The order of Larry Finch and Amanda Gilbert are reversed.

Oh, and if you didn't order the 'Key' from the official store, the shirt is tagless Hanes, navy blue. High quality stuff here.

Any chance you could take some pictures of the shirt?

Thanks to paradox for supplying us with further evidence verification. Apparently, my UV light was not strong enough. I tested again with a new UV diode and 'voila'. there are letters and a weird symbol on the shirt that I received. I'll post what I have soon.

I can't wait to find out what it says. Post it as soon as you can. I didn't order the Key from the store, I sent an envelope yesterday for the 5 free ones.

Awesome! That is so cool! I ordered a "key ingredient" but I don't have a UV light so I hope mine is something different. I also just sent out my 5 envelopes today. I haven't gotten a shipping notice for the one I bought though, so I have no idea when it is going to get here.

well I just ordered 2 with some extra $ I had lying around. Lessee what shows up at my doorstep... I don't have a UV light either tho Confused

but...interesting. 1000 items @ $20 each, in one month. SotM expects to make $20,000 in one month? Shocked I will be impressed if every piece gets sold.

Ordered one and promise to read all the prior posts. This game slipped through the cracks, for me, somehow.
Has it been heavy on the Myspace front?

P.S. I now know what to donate for Argfest swag, next year. Wink

Wow! I'm sure SOTM is very excited by all of the newish people buying stuff! I think when they realized that they weren't going to get 1000 people buying them is when they decided that we could also get 5 free versions in the mail. Obviously we have to be able to figure this out without all 1000 or we'd be screwed.

Rogi- Not really heavy on MySpace. It was more so in the beginning but they rarely do anything with it now.

Here are the letters on my 'Key':
Front

H - Left Sleeve
C - Right Sleeve
weird symbol - Upper Left Chest
W - Upper Right Chest
T - Lower Left Chest
W - Lower Right Chest

Back

J - Left Sleeve
W - Right Sleeve
J - Upper Chest
M - Lower Chest
W (31? The W appears to be underscored but I guess it could be the number 31)- Inside back lower
? - Inside back upper (under tag)
