And yes 'eternail' was that way in the email.

I've been lurking a bit lately and I googled eternail for fun and found a short story with that name. I thought it interesting that the story before it is named Threshold, (I was thinking door), and it contains a reference to the Sphinx. May be of no use, but thought I'd post it.

What, thank you for the keepvid site. I wasn't familiar with it and know it'll be very useful.

Hawkspar, glad to see you here! Smile I took a look at the hallway jpeg and don't think any changes were made to that page. However, while I was trying to get a closer look at the light at the end of the hallway, I enlarged the image and saw some writing toward the ceiling about midway down the hall. Looks like ZE (B)X something but it could be my imagination.

Hey Tres...been a while eh?

I was just thinking about all the messages we have received...Sphinx, Osiris, scarab...I am trying to draw some parallels between Egyptial myth and the messages. The Sphinx was usually some sort of guardian of tombs, and Osiris was the God of the dead (amongst other things). Maybe our cryptic friend fanccies him/herself as some sort of protector of the dead, which is reinforced by the fact that, according to e-mails, people died and went through the wrong door (aren't supposed to be dead?)

Anyways, these are just some musings until we receive more info.

More number thoughts
Reversed the polarity of the neutron flow

Got a free trial of some better audio software, and definitely heard the similiar string of numbers. 478-9917. Something that struck me while listening to the audio so much, it sounds very automated doesn't it? Like the voice you hear when leaving a voice message for cell phones. Will try calling with a zero at the end to see if that helps.

Take Care, Kendra

Eeps!
More eeps!

Oooh- a hit on 206-478-9910. Voice messages only, so I'm semi-scared to leave anything on the phone! Will try to be non-chalant and leave a message and hope this is connected. If not, sorry random Seattle-ian!

Take Care,
Kendra

re: what?

I dont have the technology to do so, but it sounds to me like if one were to speed up the sound file maybe 200%, the lowness of the voice might become clearer. I hear the same things as you thus far...

OK, listening again I think the last part is simply "She had told the experimenter during her lifetime that she did not believe in an existence after death."

ETA - has to be it:
Quote:
Margarete Petrautzki had told the experimenter during her lifetime that she did not believe in an existence after death. In one of the recordings featuring her we hear:

"Bedenke, ich bin!" (Germ: "Imagine, I am!")

"Musu Kosti, Kosti ir." (Latv: "Our Kosti, Kosti exists.")

Nicely done Toast!

Heres some more on Margarete.

This assistant professor should have examined some of the best 'spirit voices' of the 72,000 voices taped by Dr Raudive such as the voice of Raudive's own secretary Margarete Petrautski, who called out Raudive's wife's name 'Zenta' and identified herself as 'Margarete'. She then went on to say: 'Imagine, I really exist!'—English translation from German, 'Bedenke ich bin' (Bander 1973: 25).

Assistant Professor Hines should explain why the apparent voices were not really voices and if it is admitted that they were voices, why they were not those of the dead.

He should have taken a sample of this Margarete Petrautski's voice and compared it with the tape recording of her voice before her death as the researchers did. Highly sophisticated voice machines exist today which can accurately and scientifically measure all voice variables, e.g. pace, rhythm, accents, origin, etc. The Margarete Petrautski tapes are excellent subjects for scientific scrutiny because of the exceptionally good quality recordings of her voice. Yet this Assistant Professor chose to ignore scientific method and fall back on his closed-minded entrenched skepticism.
