 		Lessee, I sent it at 10am PST, and got the reply at 5pm PST - about four hours ago.

Pondering what command to send in next. This is actually quite fun. ^^ (Not that I know what I'm doing Razz)

 		Looks like GDOS has to do with Atari programming

 		ok so i corrected myself and resent an email with the DIR command for the ANGLEVINE (not ANGELVINE)
I've also sent an email for the Strategem Project directory listing as well.

So we've got references to a strategem project and gdos.

initial research shows that gdos refers to an atari add on that allows different fonts

i'll brb with what i can find on strategem project

update: couldn't really find anything worth while on the strategem project but i did receive a new email. It said that it can't find an associated program for the gracie files

We also need to find a way to either open those files or get them sent to us somehow. Do you think it has something to do with emailclient.exe?

i was doing some research on that now. i have a theory about the command line structure since we know the this OS doesn't appear to have a GUI.

I think I've got it. Maybe... I sent two commands. First was DIR C:\GRACIE\

to which I got (short version):

The second command was SEND C:\DAVID\*.*

and got:

I also sent the dir anglevine and got the same response. Sending for a file now... 'SEND C:\DAVID\davidwork.jpg' as a test.

I'm also using the commands I'm sending as my subject line at this point, because, hmmmm, that way it's easier for me to keep track of them. Very Happy Yeah, that's the ticket.

 		The last one came through at 04:51 GMT or right about in the middle of your edit of the mega-post above. So maybe they want us to send in clear at this point???

Anyway, I don't think Atari GDOS is relevant. From what I can tell it was primarily a graphics handler for the ST, not a real Disk Op Sys. The funny thing is that the name rings a bell, but I did used to own an Atari800 and remember reading about the ST which was a pretty hot machine in its day, so maybe from that, but I don't think so.

 		I started thinking something similar after I had posted it and chewed on it for a while. I'm leaning towards: G.D.O.S. (Gracie Disk Operating System).

Gracie was active while I was posting earlier which is why I had so many edits. I kept getting new emails constantly. Almost real-time. I'm guessing that for right now this is a one man show otherwise we'd have access to Gracie round the clock. Either way though I'm having fun. This waiting game is killing me though. I need to sleep sometime. I can't imagine what it's going to be like once the game goes live. In the mean time I'm writing up section summaries to have ready when a wiki goes live *fingers crossed*

I was JUST talking to someone about that. Craziness! I've got a wiki going but it's still in skeleton stages right now so I won't be debuting it just yet... I've GOT to get some sleep but if emails start going out PLEASE someone IM me on AIM (matrixofreality) and keep hammering me with messages until I respond... Volumes Up!!! Wink I've got emails out with the several different ways of requesting those files... all of them... We should have something in a few hours I suspect. We might even get to kick the weekend off with a rabbit hole or two. Very Happy
